Good luck to Mr. Snowden in Russia. Finally, he is living in a free country which is run by the most pro-democracy president ever, a person that encourages total freedom of expression by his citizens (snicker....). A warning to Mr. Snowden though: In Russia, you are more likely to face a firing squad if you do there what you did in your former home country...
This is funny, because Russia doesn't practice death penalty unlike his former home country
I would prefer living in Russia over any country in South America were I Snowden. He is a highly skilled computer geek and the Russians are REALLY big on that front with a thriving computer marketplace. Putin aside, Russia is relatively free, growing economically, and increasingly prosperous. He should be able to match his CIA salary with no problem. However he is going to need to set aside about 1/2 of his earnings for personal security- forever. Unless he meets a stranger's (ricin tipped) umbrella my bet is he will do just fine.
When I compare Snowden to his enemies (Obama and Clinton and Boehner and Biden and Pelosi and McCain), I greatly prefer Snowden ... !!!!!!!!!
now of course Barack and Eric will refuse to allow any of Snowden's family or friends to leave the USA and next week Obama will supply Putin with all the USA nuclear codes and locations
Beware of ricin tipped umbrellas.
Watch out Russia! Snowden has to be a disinformation agent. I think he's still employed by the NSA. Nothing he's released is anything new. There has been an orchestrated series of controlled releases recently.
I t could be that the Kremlin is actually part of this, since Obama was once a soviet operative. Strange times we live in.
The Patriot Act notwithstanding, the Wiretap Act specifically prohibits eavesdropping, a crime we now know the NSA is guilty of. Snowden, the man who risked everything to inform us, is no enemy of ours. He's entitled to the best of luck. Maybe he'll hook up with that hot Russian spy who was deported last year, Anna whats-her-name.
Mr. Snowden, I hope you get a book publishing company to give you an advance and a ghost writer to write your truthfull story. Tell the world the truth and have printed books in lots of different languages. From this effort YOUR story will be told once and for all. You will never have to worry about protection. I am sure there can be a special chapter about President Putin. No doubt will be the NUMBER ONE SELLER!
he will enjoy russia until the money runs out, then not so much
