Space scavenger attack: Pentagon builds cannibal satellite (VIDEO, PHOTOS)
June 27, 2012 19:12
The Pentagon’s “mad scientists’ division” wants to harvest dead communication satellites for spare parts and re-use them in orbit. The program, called Phoenix, may hold an orbital trial phase by 2015.
these space agency people in USA has always been dreamers, they are so preoccupied with space out there that they often trip in substance-free natural euphoric trance and get even decent pay check for it, lucky for them ! NASA back in 1969 after Armostrang got home in moderate health from short trip to the backyard of Earth, they claimed childishly they will put a man on Mars before 1990s, where Russians smartly abandoned this conceipt duoe to their more farsighted qualities, then again Americans for some thechnical problems envolved they extended it to marky year of 2000 , then 2012 was the date that we are in it right now and nobody has seen the martian sunrise yet, nowdays they are more down to earth and are talking about 2030s, so you see the pattern and these people have the best excuse for their stupidness and failures ,like all other government agencies all over the world, lack of enough money and and resources. The concept of robotic self-propelled maneuvering satellites is almost 50 years old by now and was introduced by Russians, but by todays existing technological achievments, it is like you dare to cruise in middle of Pacific ocean with your rowing boat trying to collect floating seeweed and catch fish to stay alive on your long and tedious journey to the dreamland!
As always..the USA is presumptuous again about their military technology to intimidate the rest of the world, they think they are invincible, the same way some powerful native american nations thought..until Christopher Columbus arrived... But in the case of the USA..maybe another more advanced civilization from another planet could come to wipe them out..
So their morals are a little misguided, but DARPAS push for this innovation, fuels expolation and developement of new technologies. It's a better use of the money then bailing out the banks.
As a citizen I think it is ridiculous how much money our government wastes on military spending. This money needs to go to rebuilding our crumbling infrastructure and creating jobs.
Those pentagon fascists have no real money to do - anything! Only problem they have - nobody said that to them. It will. Very soon. I give at most - to the end of 2012. Than - fascist state of US-empire - down to the mud, to its natural place. Forget "high-tech" made in USA.
The US is not fascist, by Zeus I wish it was, no the US is Judeo-Bolshevist.

Oh C´mon, or they want to take down all the rest of "unferendly" satelites?
so some day US scanvenger will meet Red Dragon or The Bear satelites wchich are just predators ;o)
For military and intelligence purposes it would be really nice to "capture", say, China or Russian, "defunct", or for that matter 100% operating secret military satellite - and see how far the adversaries have come with regards to space technology. But , hey, they just probably want to fix the broken stuff, feed the starving, and establish "peace and freedom" in the world...
Eurasian, you are probably right, but I think that this is just a rubbish US propaganda. Those pentagon fascists have no real money to do - anything! Only problem they have - nobody said that to them. It will. Very soon. I give at most - to the end of 2012. Than - fascist state of US-empire - down to the mud, to its natural place. Forget "high-tech" made in USA.
