Russia’s Sukhoi SuperJet-100 goes off radars in Jakarta, hijacking not ruled out
May 09, 2012 10:15
A Russian jet carrying 50 passengers has disappeared from the radars during a demonstration flight for potential buyers in the Indonesian capital. Hijacking and a high-altitude crash into a mountain have not been ruled out.
It is too much of a co-incidence - everytime the Russians compete in the commerical world (controlled by the West), there are accidents. The Tupolev crash was no accident. As was the Polish plane. And the Cheonan was not sunk by the N Koreans but the Americans. You can bet the CIA and MI6 are behind it. You think nothing is being schemed while we sleep sonorously in our bed each night? You think these agents sit around twiddling their thumbs while being paid hefty salaries every month?
When I heard about this tragedy on the news, I was so deeply sad. It should be a joy flight. As an Indonesian I for one feel sympathy for the Russians and all affected. It is hoped that a proper explanation of the cause of this tragic event can be reached.
Most of places are covers with huge mountains there is some kind of Magnetic Fields when ever the plane goes that kind of have Magnetic Rays the air craft goes extreme down out of radar range i pray for all people are safely arrive at there home with there Families
The plane was found this morning crashed into the mountainside. With such an impact there were no survivors. At least noone suffered as death was instant and unexpected. May they all rest in peace.
Hope the pilot really made an emergency landing somewhere. I do have nothing else to say now. IMHO, most of the posters here have little knowledge about a variety of air crash causes, including me, so I don't want to reach any rash conclusions before the rescue operations and relevant investigations come to a close. May God bless them.
"The latest reports suggest the mobile phones of several passengers might still be working. Blogger and traveler Sergey Dolya, who was on a previous flight on the same aircraft, tweeted that he has been trying to call his Russian friends for several hours. “Somet imes the calls go through, sometimes they get rejected. But no one picks up. Locals do not know how to locate [the phone’s position],” a recent tweet by Dolya says."So, some mobiles are ON? err..don't we suppose to TURN it OFF during the flight because it will distract the radar system, navigation system, or whatever system in the plane?
I believe the flight might have crashed /landed in the jungles but there could be some survivers. Because there was not much fuel and less chances of big explosion.
>> Why they chose to descend to 6000 ft at that position is a mystery.
Not really. Most likely they descended to give the passengers a better view of the mountain. Well, it worked... can't get much closer than that.
Poor pilot training. Mt Erebus all over again. "Woop woop woop - pull up - woop woop woop - pull up - thud" Disorientat ion flying around mountains - common northern hemisphere problem with pilots .... whom are used to flat terrain which doesn't change quickly.
Looking at the available data and using Google Earth, it looks like they flew it into the mountain. Why they chose to descend to 6000 ft at that position is a mystery.
if those are the correct coordinates it is worrysome at 1565mtr altitude slope of aprox 30/100 inclination in between two ridges 1800mtr high 1500 mtr apart and 1400 mtr from summit.
@my sukhoi..... It's the middle of the south china sea !! I'm surprised it's not reported found yet if crashed, although I still think it has come down. There shouldn't be anywhere that remote in the area a plane could come down unnoticed, for this long ?
