‘West’s policy on Syria could ignite WWIII’

December 02, 2011 19:46

The situation in Syria is just a warm-up before a real confrontation, which will draw Russia and China into action, believes Lawrence Freeman from the Executive Intelligence Review magazine.

Its amazing the whack jobs RT manage to find to appear on their ''news'' program.
And its amazing just how much ignorance there really is in the world from reading comments here.

for the record Im British and I watch the news channels available here daily (BBC and others such as RT are all available here) and havent seen ONE SINGLE piece of anti-russia propaganda broadcast.
Parano id crazy nonesense.
the last time russia made any mention at all on BBC was about oil prices and before that you guys got caught sailing a transport of attack helicopters through UK waters - which btw we dont allow normally, regardless of where the russian fleet is headed.
Im sure the syrian will be SO HAPPY that russia are giving the syrian regime more weapons during a civil war......

The hate mongerers seem to be right here... having a aparty on this website?

The US have begun to get involved with countries like Syria and Iran and from this we can see that the US and EU economy is being ruined while China and Russia have be getting cheap oil from the countries the US Have sanctioned so US should do what Russia and China. Open diplomatic meeting with Iran and Syrian and start helping them find solution to the problems. US should also relieve sanctions and stop following Isreal.

Russia and China supporting the Syrian regrme shows how out of touch they are.  You'd rather be friends with dictators than democratically elected governments

The whole concept of a world war is ridiculous. I know every country has an army, but still. We do not hate each other, we do not even know each other. What do we know about North Korea and what would they know about us. Our leaders can more easily manipulate us if we have a fear of each other. To stay in power by promoting hate and fear is easier for a politician than promoting cooperation and love  for one another.

Forget nationalities, Russian, Pakistani, Indian, American, Korean, Australian.......... ................ We Are All People.

People, wake up and realize.. no one needs a world war III to happen the people in the eastern or the western or middle eastern or any countries for that matter. People behind the New World Order don't care about the American People just as they don't care about the Middle East and the Eastern Powers and their people. They are using the American military power at their will to destroy the world as we know it and Start a New World Order. If World War III destroys 90 percent of the population regardless, American, Russian, or Chinese that's what they want in the end as long as they are still in power... The less people their are the easier it will be to implement a one world order and to stop having to waste all their resources brainwashing people and making them materialistic sheeple arguing about what country would win WWIII.. none of that matters people, wake up and realize who it is who is behind all this.. Politicians are just PAWNS.. follow the money people...

Russia is threatening to bomb the United States if western powers help Syrians stop Assad from mass murdering them. And all Russia wants is a new naval base as a supply point for delivering intercontinental missiles to Venezuela. That's SICK!!!! The title of this article is a not-so-veiled threat.

@jim evans: Knit picking as much as you'd like, if it would make you feel better.  Even this comment board is made possible by U.S. Department of Defense invention, as well as the computer interface you're using... One can also name Chernobyl, KGB, mass bombing of Chechnya, Siberian gulag, mass murder of 70000 Polish officers and soldiers right after WWII, on and on...   So, name a good invention or contribution by Russia to the world and we'll start from there...

East and west surely don`t seem to be the same if Russians "are not contributing anything to the World?

Why without an America responsible for bringing humanity "brands" like:

Guantan amo Bay and Bhopal and 1929 and Israel and 2008 and the CIA secret police and Vietnam/Cambodia and Waterboarding and Coca Cola and Wall Street......lets all think of more

It's almost hilarious to read how some commenters describe Americans as fat, lazy, etc. and otherwise not worth befriending.  As a matter of fact, the U.S. is what Russia wants to copy but can't.  Some may make a big deal out of foreign debts and jab at economic recession, but the bottom line is the U.S. is still the strongest country in the world, not just economically (still 3 times larger than China and a dozen times larger than Russia), but also militarily (except for nukes, neither Chinese or Russian armed forces can deal with a direct conventional war against the U.S.) and culturally (American inventions and products are found in every corner of the globe)... And as another commenter puts it, multiculturalism is not a weakness of America.  It is the strength that will help it defeat all enemies.  All talks about how pure Russia needs to be is akin to Nazi's nationalism, which should be eradicated.  The Russian people are basically good.  Don't let your sentiment of a past glory blur your senses into believing you have to prove something to the world. Can one name a certain Russian product or brand that is truly global?  When was the last time Russian products were the must-have (like iPods & iPads) in the world?  Nada.  Besides making -or rather reproducing Cold War weapons-  Russia is not contributing anything to the world, except for maybe oil and gas.  Without those two, Russia would have no status in the world.
