Mainstream media skewed on Syria

October 06, 2011 07:35

The mainstream media’s quick reaction often costs it in terms of fact-checking. As human rights groups continue to sound the alarm over multiple arrests and killings in Syria, one high-profile victim has made an amazing reappearance.

Syria is an neighbour of Iran. That's the main reason for the West.

During the NATO agression of Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro) so called human rights agencies paid by West of course said that 100 k of Albanians were massacred by Yugoslav army but the total number of killed both Albanians and Serbs didn't exceed 2500. Most of the Albanians were murdered by NATO bombs.

what is going on in Syria is deffinately the same as what went on in Libya. There was a faction of people from Beghezi that was unhappy, and the west had been feeding this dissatisfaction to get rid of Gaddafi, and used the UN resolution of a no fly zone to support their favorite side in a civil war. Sad thing is,  what could be a tool for peaceful mediation has resulted in casualties of over 20,000 if not more people. The truth is if this group in the United nations had seen their worse case senario take place in Beghezi ( Gaddafi sends his troops house to house), still there would have been less casualties that this ludicrous mission for humanity that Nato undertook. &nbs p;       &n bsp;  &nbs p;    Assad also has a group of fundamental Islamists like in Bahrain who want to express themselves. And while there are people who are assisting them, I don't think it is the West. But at least in this case the determination that the West had in getting rid of Gaddafi is the same kind of resolution that Russia has in keeping the currant gov. Russia has too much interest in Syria, but if Assad cannot control his opposition without a total bloodbath occuring, then Russia will replace him with someone a little less controversial.    &n bsp;  &nbs p; The leader of Syria belongs to minority group called Alawaith (an ancient form of Moslem which goes back before the 5 pillars was implimented). and his group are consided heretical to Islam. Yes this is a religious problem that became political. your guess is as good as mine how this will turn our. But I do know that an Islamic leader will not take care of the minority religious groups the way Assad and his departure would cause more blood to be spent.

Absolutely true. I never believed the UN when they were saying all this nonsense about Syria. They were also lying about the desperate humanitarian situation in Sirte, Libya. Certainly not true, as Gaddafi forces have full control of the city.

Forget about watching U.S. main media outlet because most of the U.S. main media is focusing on the U.S. foreign policies toward other countries and give out fault information to the American public.

But the question ist what does US try to achieve???First we had chaos in Africa(Tunis,Egypt,L ybya), now we have the same szenario in Sirya. What is going on???Who will be the next?Iran, Russia? I think Russia has to do everything in order to stop this development. For example selling more weapons and coaching the syrian armed forces...

That dead opposition woman in Syrai who reappeared must be the female Syrian version of Khamis Gadhafi who had being killed over and over by NATO and NTC rebels in Libya. A recen t fact is that most informed people have realised that main stream media (CNN, SKY, Aljazeera, Al Arabiya, BBC, NY Times etc) are used to skew the news in favour of the Western nations leadership and the also control the search engines such as Google and Bing making sure that their own news appears on the first page and pushing independent outlets far to the 12th pages in which readers may not have the patience to search out. People are getting wiser, they fooled the people once in Libya and think they can fool the whole people a second time in Syria. NO WAY!!!

These human rights organisations like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch are tools the West uses to malign regimes they do not like. They are biased. For example, Amnesty International has been glaringly silent on the crimes committed by NATO's rebel proxies in Libya. These organisations are funded by big corporates and used in the psychological war against troublesome regimes. Good on Russia and China to veto the UN resolution on Syria. We all know Syria is the next target after Libya.
