Standing disunited? Syrian opposition held up by differences
March 28, 2012 03:18
Syrian opposition activists have met in Istanbul to join forces and conjure up a common declaration on Syria's future. But the meeting was marred with walkouts, proving it was difficult for the groups to overcome their differences.

Isn't loyalty the core of Russian foreign policy as well? Welcome to the real world.
Which country is Russia supporting, that attacks it neighbours constantly, that has 200-400 nukes without signing Nuclear Treaties, that does not let inspectors inspect and does give a rats a.se about UN resolutions ? You are right: Welcome to the real world !!!

Well, whatever form of goverrnment they will agree on for Syria is unimportant, as long as it abides to US rule.
------- --------------- I sn't loyalty the core of Russian foreign policy as well? Welcome to the real world.
Syria, do not sleep. Syria, stay wide eyed awake! US/allies has gone for a short
time such that people in the middle east forget their real horrifying face of
atrocity unmasked from rhetoric of freedom and democracy and choice. They know
people in Syria, Iran, Iraq, and elsewhere have understood that they should
stand to death to resist and defend their homes, their families, their wealth,
their security. They have recognised that sea-rovers and buccaneers are no
friend of peace and welfare of middle east. They know declaration of war by the
US to the poor and weak people of the world is not for the freedom of women and
human rights. For now, they have gone. Prepare yourself, since they are
planning. They are scrounging the world and at the top of them China, India and
millions of poor people around the world through the Saudi and co-sheikhs and
spending it to wage war against peaceful people in the middle east central
Asia, Caucasus, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tibet, and Africa. Now the world has
reached deep in the pocket and there is no more money even in the pocket of
Europeans. So keep yourself ready. Show them no mercy as they do not have when
they bomb your people from their ships and advanced aircrafts. Assad, Sweep the
foreign invader into the sea.
Another day, another desperate attempt by the shambolic opposition to derail peace efforts.
Pres umably, their plan to further arm the Free Syrian Army is a rejection of Annan's six point plan. But we know who'll get the blame for continued violence..
As sad should continue to implement the six point plan, with emphasis on the need to deploy UN supervisors for the ceasefire. A few hundred Russian peacekeepers on the ground will keep the opposition on the back foot and hinder their attempts to intensify their guerrilla tactics and facilitate foreign military intervention.
With their narrow minded and arrogant approach, they continue to arm the militants, who in turn have been committing human rights abuses, means they are not only declaring they are enemies of the state (Syria), but are also criminals who need to be brought to justice. Furthermore, all nations and organisations that have been supporting them are accessories to these crimes and should also be tried. The good Syrian people have spoken and with the recent referendum and the ongoing pro-democracy, pro-reform and pro-government rallies, they have decided that they want real democracy, security and peace. They just want all these foreigners and exiles to leave them alone. Stop the harassment, terrorism, bullying and lies and let them deal with Syria's future through peaceful means.
