____________ ____________________ __This defection means more than a lot realize.  Riyad Hijab's, the Prime Minister, defection to the Free Syrians means a couple of very important things, all pointing to the fact Bashar is loosing control of his core.  This man was the PRIME MINISTER, if Assad cannot keep an eye and trust the Prime Minister, how do you think he is doing with the army or other officials?
The Assad regime is losing the veneer of a unity government.  Sunni-Syrians, even in privileged positions, are giving up on Assad and looking for a unity government.
The Assad regime DEPENDS on Sunni-Syrians since Allawite only make up 10% of the population.  Where do you see this going if Assad cannot depend on 80% of the population to be loyal?
The Allawites NEED Sunni-Syrians loyal to the regime to make the Assad regime work and appear to be legitimate.  Increasingly, they cannot.  This is obvious with the amount of high level defections as well as the many soldiers that now make up the FSA.  If Assad cannot control the Sunni in his inner circle, how is going to do it over the population?  Or the army?  Or the security apparatus?
The Allawites will not be able to keep Assad in power alone and they will only be able to keep the Sunni-Syrians working for them at a point of a gun for so long.

History is full of examples of people who betrayed their own country, for self-serving reasons.
The following is a beautiful poem by Constantin Cavafy, inspired by the heroic resistance of the 300 Spartans, who after they learned that a local shepard named Ephialtes had led the Persian army through a small path at the rear of the Greek forces, decided to stay and fight against all odds, at Thermopylae, in 480 BC:

Honor to those who in the life they lead
define and guard a Thermopylae.
Neve r betraying what is right,
consistent and just in all they do
but showing pity also, and compassion;
gener ous when they are rich, and when they are poor,
still generous in small ways,
still helping
as much as they can;
always speaking the truth,
yet without hating those who lie.
And even more honor is due to them
when they foresee (as many do foresee)
that in the end Ephialtis will make his appearance,
that the Medes will break through after all.

Israel/USA are extorting and blackmailing the Jordan leaders into either helping the Obama sponsored Al CIAeda terrorist 'rebels' flow thru Jordan into Syria where they are slaughtering pro-Assad civilians, Alawites, Shiia Muslims, Christians and other minoritys while leaving Sunni Muslims and Jews alone as per Apartheid Israel's orders.

After reports of the Israeli/Obama led Houla Massacre came back to the Jordan royals, the Jordan leaders ceased to allow further waves of Israeli/Obama Al CIAeda terrorists to sneak into Syria via Jordan. As a result those same rabid leaders and terrorists were placed on stand-bye to target the Jordanian leaders!

Now it seems the Israeli/Obama threats against the lives of the Jordan royal familys and leaders are resulting in further 'cooperation' in allowing the Israeli/Obama sponsored Al CIAeda terrorist 'Rebels' to again sneak via Jordan into Syria loaded with machine guns, heavy weapons, explosives and Israeli poisons.

I would have expected only such 'diplomacy' to have come from Nazi Germany but now it's in full effect by the ZioNazi's infesting the USA Gov. and Apartheid Israel. What did the same agents use to blackmail the Syrian PM, threats against his life, his wife and children likely with the false promise of a USA taxpayer 100% paid luxury retirement in the region of his chosing.

It is very evident that throughout the years the Syrian government was infiltrated by american  spies. It will be a tough fight but I'm betting on the Syrian people's victory o ver the mercenaries, terrorists and traitors.

It was amid these tensions that Mahmoud, a Palestinian resident of Aleppo, had his fateful brush with Syrian security. On Thursday, Mahmoud said, he and a friend went to collect their paychecks from the thread factory where they work and heard clashes nearby. Soon eight men in civilian clothes stopped them and asked for their IDs and cell phones. On Mahmoud's phone they found videos of anti-government demonstrations and messages he sent to rebels from the Free Syrian Army, asking God to protect them and make them victorious. The men threw Mahmoud and his friend in the trunk of a car and drove them to a trash dump, where they were blindfolded, bound and beaten with sticks and large rocks before being taken to a security office. Mahmoud was locked in a crowded cell with about a dozen other men, he said. Each day, some were taken out and new ones brought in. "We were there for four days and they only gave us water to drink once. They never fed us," he said. "They never asked us anything. Every day it was beating, beating, beating." Before dawn on Monday, guards pulled Mahmoud and 10 others from their cells and told they were going to see a judge. They were bound at the wrists, blindfolded and driven to Aleppo's Khaldiyeh neighborhood, where they were lined up on a patch of rocky soil. "The y sat us all down next to each other, `You here, you here, you here,'" Mahmoud said. "Then each one cocked his weapon and the shooting started." Mahmoud was shot three times. Bullets pierced his chest and foot and one grazed his skull. Minutes later, silence returned, and he realized he was still alive. "I breath ed, I said the shehada," he said, referring to the Muslim declaration of faith meant to put him right with God. "I tried to get up then started screaming because blood was coming out of me."

Just as with the CIA playbook in Libya, the Mossad/CIA and their spy infested USA State Department are blackmailing, extorting and threatening various Syrian officials which they are able to approach or contact.

Insi de Iran and now in Syria what this roving pack of wolves produces is a steel revolve by those that are among the Syrian and Iranian government to not fall prey to the false threats and promises of the Israeli/Obama White House nor their spy infested USA State Department.

S yria and Iran should purchase as many inflatable tank and missile decoys from Russia as the Russian camoflage builders are willing to sell, they are superior to all others in the world complete with electronics and thermal signatures which totally fool satellites, drones and weapons platforms terminal IR image viewers into thinking the military decoys are the real items.

Iran should flood the Persian Gulf with 1,000's of inert Marine Mines which appear to be real but are inert. That would play havoic on the minesweepers in the Gulf.

Iran should flood the Persian Gulf with hundreds of Sonar Buyou's which would immediately expose the positions of the USA/NATO/Israeli submarines inside the Persian Gulf.

yeah -- that is what has confused me ..... this RT news story is very different to Al Jazeera, France24, Reuters & BBC angles -- all I would define as having coverage that is "propaganda rich". So where is the source for this RT article ? And is this RT story closer to or further from the truth,.. if its not based on the same statement that apparently the ex-PM made saying "I hereby defect"??  RT -- where do you get your news stories from ?

I don t wont to harm  anybodies feelings in this complicated world .
In most cases  such kind of war and uprise  is about money  to buy  electrik brunes or mind destroying stuff or pump up mind a valued people, in the better cases its for religion or some disturbed kind of  responsibility .
 and are not able to get trust of their inhabitants
Means the all have  no master plan of peace.
