guys,  if FSA wins, its better that way, cos it will make sure no more reprisals in war. all fightings will stall. but if syrian army prevalis, these FSA will always rise up since their goal is to topple assad. in my oppinion i think its better if FSA wins, then all bombings will stop since they got what majority of syrians wants. @red fang: who said its the majority of the people that are against assad? just because the supporters of Assad are not taking to the streets and arming themselves, does not mean he has lost support. Remember that aside from the miliatry war, there's the political war (which is siding with the revolution), there is a media war (which is siding with the revolution), and there is the electronic war (which is siding with the revolution). Did you know that facebook closed the pro-government-milit ary page 137 times?

It seems to be a semi - civil war in progress .... So far never heard of a solid info on how the anti Syrian government armed groups are financing themselves..!!!! Don't tell me they are living on water and bread for their so called " freedom "!!!! . What incentives they are enjoying to feel so energized to conduct such crimes against their fellow citizens - on the Syrian Iraqi border- ? How money are channeled to them to get them into such groups? I think they are just Mercenaries . Mercenary business is huge and very powerful . Unfortunately , the Syrian government is against such huge strong and very well organized and powerful  business , where loyalty is for the highest bidder.

@Slavery : very well put. noone asks these type of questions. a lot of people just look at whats in front of them, i.e. "people looking for freedom". but there's more than meets the eye..

the journalists covering these stories are better soldiers then these fsa jokes. the fsa cant even capture a cold let alone highly important military checkpoints. i will never look at the news in the same way after whats happened in syria and libya. they are a bunch of story telling stations. shame on america and the lies they spread All I know from personal experience, the picture on the ground is one thing, a western news completely different

to be honest judging on the videos these 'Rebels" have uploaded are not capable of taking on the Syrian army, some of these terrorists u see them in large groups in the middle of know where, if the Syrian army knows where they are, all these terrorists would be blown to pieces, especially now how theyre at this border crossings. in urban combat they have the upper hand, because of their unconventional tactics, and Syrian armys habit of sending in tanks and apcs that havent been upgraded since 1974(t55) bmp1, with poorly trained crews. The Syrian army has allready adopetd some of these tactics the rebels have, we will destroy them, these terrorists theyve made the middle east divided, they deserve what they get, and we are doing them a favour to because they get 1st seats in "Heaven"

this is not the rebels, and bandits, who are fighting against government agencies, recognized around the world, and for some reason have become in recent times not to make the west. All videos shot in the trenches of the bandits, which is suggestive. On which side of the reporters, and who they are.

Terrorists have been beaten in Damascus and now are desperately attempting to show their Masters and the World that they have gained some success.

"If true" then Iraq is complicit in the killings, but elsewhere in Syria the "rebels" are getting pounded big time. And these are supposed to be "peaceful" protesters?, they are barbaric if this is true.

If RT continues spreading "unconfirmed rumours" in their news they will become western press (unregistered) 20.07.2012 09:36

THis is very unprofessional to release rumors in a major media channel that is supposed to fix what western media is doing wrong.. RT do not turn into another CNN.. that all their reports is based on fearing people with sensational news and later they report/.. "We cannot independently verify the information". You either Reports Facts ,factual information or report nothing.. But comming with rumors is bad press.. and they continue practice will only make RT the very same thing that people reject of western press. that instead of information creates more confusion of whats really going on..
Either you phone call Syrian authorities to confirm the information if true or not.. or report nothing.. but leaving people filling your news with Rumorsso much  many times wrong and sensationalist.. is one of the reasons people just left western media.. but their lack of professionalism ,bias and wrong information..  Some people at RT needs to be fired and hired real professionals instead. There is no place for Rumors in any media who claims to be professional and different. Ask more.. i see that everytime in RT promo.. practice what you preach RT.

Wonder how this story will be spun in the lie media? "Heroic and selfless freedom fighters seize border posts to get food baskets and moral support from relatives and countrymen living abroad"

Expect more headline grabbing 'operations'.  Keeping the government guessing where the next blow will fall is all part of heightening the fear factor. It would not be too difficult for the Syrian government forces to retake the border posts. It might even make their job a little easier knowing precisely where certain terrorist groups are located.  All the while Damascus is reportedly being 'cleaned of terrorists' by government forces.I imagine another 'spectacular' terror attack is in the pipeline, so it looks like a rough ride for the many Syrian citizens over the coming days until the threat is degraded.
