I was only a kid during the Balkan Wars of the 1990's. I was very young and no where near to being politically "aware" yet. The stories of mass rapes and massacres in Bosnia and Kosovo committed by the Serb nationalist armies loyal to Slobodan Milosevic seemed like nothing more than surreal movie clips taking place in a distant and unknowable land. However, a small influx of Bosnian and Kosovo Albanian refugees to our small New England communities, and the stories they brought with them (murders, old people having their legs shot out at the knee, kids blown to chunks of flesh by artillery strikes) made it a lot more real. I've since studied the wars extensively, and am still dismayed by all the denialism and conspiracy mongering that exists around it. It's usually plastered all over the internet by brain-dead rightwing Serb and Russian nationalists with vapid anti-American leftists at the coattails. It's really pathetic. I can't tell you how sick I am of these people. I can't begin to describe how little respect and regard I have for their denialism and conspiracy mongering. I can't tell you how disgusted I am that these wastes-of-life are trying to stay relevant by recycling their same old garbage with their rants and raves on Syria. I know this post is going to get 100 thumbs down. I don't care. History will once again humiliate these people and expose them as people fools, and leave them more desperate and alone than before.

Has anyone thought that those massacred in Houla were infact Pro-Assad?The Syria Truth Network on Youtube seems to think so, which is a strong possibility. The lies of the MSM and Western nations have been seen for what they are. Has anyone realised that previous to the Houla massacre, there was no major events in Syria for weeks? This 'massacre' is exactly the event that the Western Elite and the real rogue states needed to make an excuse for 'humanitarian intervention'.  The 'real rogue states' being the US, UK, France, Israel, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. If the majority of the people of the West dont see the lies their leaders and media are feeding them then they will believe anything.

It seems the interest of European leaders is far from diplomacy, why are NATO countries resentful of diplomatic moves? It seems strange that Syria would commit such a heinous crime in front of the U.N observers that they invited into the country. We need to investigate the agenda of the government and opposition forces and determine what objectives each side is working towards. 
 
There are several points to consider: 
1. The BBC's fabrication of evidence.  
2. According to Ban Ki Moon the massacre occurred in an area "outside of the government control".  
3. Some of the victims were beheaded; unusual method for a conventional armed force.  
4. Artillery fire was also available to the opposition.  
5. If 20% were killed by artillery fire, how could they be found with those that were executed without having been moved? It is inconsistent with a massacre scenario. 
6. The Syrian government had no motive for this act which would have potentially invited military intervention, sectarian violence and destroyed any moral legitimacy for peace. 
 
Wh y would the government jeopardise their regime? It doesnt make any sense. The BBC seem to be having a field day with this, first it was the government, now its militia. This is a despicable crime against humanity, there should be an immediate investigation to find those responsible. Shah Sher

The USA  has used it's CIA in a number of sovereign nations to cause Caos that is meant to lead nations into civil war.
They did it in Iran in 1953 when they helped the British to destroy the presidency of a democratically elected leader in order to control the price of oil being sold to the British by Iran.
The United states and britain have never stopped harrassing Iran, and they do the exact same thing to any country who refuses to bow to United states agression.
It is my belief that the worlds armies will eventually have to stand against the United States and put a stop to this Communism that has consumed what once was a free nation who minded it's own business.

Happy for my shift to RT news as my online news source. You definately won't hear this on american television! All they keep doing is drumming up a war, and won't present any alternative information contrary to the government line. It is highly possible that it was rebel groups that did this just as much as it could have been the government. Also, they wont ever show you battle footage between government forces and rebels. All they will show you is what appears to be civilians getting shot at, but do not describe exactly what happened. I would like to say though, that although my views on this are contrary to the government line, I would like to see Assad give foreign journalists access to the events that are unfolding in syria rather than ban a free press. If Assad has any merits to what he claims, he will do so.

Is Syria a state sponsor of terror? YES!  Would removing Assad change that? NO!  Is there any chance that western manipulation will make the Arab world kinder and gentler, possibly more cooperative? No chance in HELL!  So is an ongoing civil war that destroys the infrastructure of Syria and reduces it's population a better result for western (and Zionist) interests?  You Bet.  So who makes the next stupid move?  We'll see.

They should make pressure on the UN that unless the US/Arab Gulf State Tyranies' and Turkey's Edgogan make clear comittments to stop fundind, arming, training and giving shelter to their mercinary foreign terror squads, they would support the legitimate Syrian government in defending its people and pursuing the terror squads who perpetrated that monstrous crime in Houla and elsewhere with the deployment of troops and tanks INSIDE the city centres to cover the inhabitants from similar terror attacks. After all that is what russian troops did in Chechnia when Western spnsored and headquartered terror tugs were terrorizing innocent cuivilians. It is the dfuty of every governmentb to defend its citizens by all means so that clause in Kofi anan's plan which calls upon Syrian government forces and tanks to move out of city centres has to be eliminated because compliance of such a requirement by the Syrian army in Houla was the main cause of terror squads infiltrating the neghbourhood and brutally executing Alawite and Shia inhabitants and families of Syrian government officials. Russia should also take counter measures on a global scale to exert pressure on the US by deploying elements of its missile complexes in South America and Cuba like the US is doing in occuipied Eastern Europe.
