I have a feeling that Turkey is going to one day regret its blind support of the US.

As always, I am very supportive of Russia's efforts and my thanks to all involved.

"Russia has bases in Syria. This doesn't mean they are to sink to western lows, and completely abandon international law and diplomacy. What the same Russia that supports north Korea and Iran, fixes their own elections, murders 200 of their own journalists and sends in a cargoship of bombs in the middle of the crisis to enable te Syrian government to murder women and children.Yo must be so proud

"Maher Salloum, from the Universal Peace Federation" Why do you say this like it gives Salloum some kind of credibility? Hy ung Jin Moon the International Chairman of the UPF says the UPF has one simple purpose, to promote his father, Sun Myung Moon as the messiah. The UPF works to theocratize the United Nations while serving Moon as his personal United Nations, his "Abel UN." Sun Myung Moon's goal as the messiah is to create a unified world under the Moon's theology and his organization's direction. This is direct quote from the conclusions of a 1978 US Congressional investigations.  ;Report of the Subcommittee on InternationalOrgan izations of the Committee on International Relations U.S. House of Representatives October 31, 1978
 (2) The Moon Organization attempts to achieve goals outlined by SunMyung Moon, who has
substantial control over the economic, political, and spiritual activities undertaken by the organization
in pursuit of those goals.    (3) Among the goals of the Moon Organization is the establishment of a worldwide government in
which the separation of church and state would be abolished and which would be governed by
Moon and his followers.

Assad`s move regarding troops withdrawal ,is a bad one and in time will prove costly for Syria`s security. The "friends of Syria"consists of representative of Zionists friendly nations, who gathered in Turkey,by the order of Zionists AIPAC(US foreign affair committee)in order to protect and maintain the Zionists military regime in Palestine. These lot are "friends of Zionists"not "friends of Syria" and politicians and military think tanks in Duma should have known better rather than falling for it.Zionists have not stopped lying, since 1917.

Syria needs to go ahead with reforms. Clearly the so-caleld opposition and their western paymasters, are doing all they can to underminde any reforms Assad wants to make. Syria should also make it clear that the rebels decide whether the Syrian army withdraws from the cities. As long as the rebels are there, the Syrian forces stay.

I'll bet the Sunni jihadists (a.k.a the opposition) will use their 48 hours well with terror against the Christian and Alawite minority. A taste of times to come.

Tell me, has Obama honored anything of what had promised ? 04.04.2012 10:58

Nobody cares what a wrote in #5
Nationalist from Russia thinks. If Assad doesn't calm down or step down I will teach the rebels personally things nobody should know how to do. please stick to football games and whatever you do down there in fairy tale land you are living in a fox news fanatsy. The militants are not the majority in Syria . many of the militants are foreigners from Libya and neighbouring states . Britain and France have No policies whatsoever , they are just yesmen to the USA . Globalism Stinks . Anyone who thinks U.S is chatting sense is a 'FOOL', how can Assad leave the cities to terrorists. If withdrawal means giving the terrorists respite to re-group, then there can not be any honouring of such rubbish...why can't Americans withdraw to their basis in afghanistan, to allow talks with the Taliban to take place in a cloud of 'peace', they are afraid they might be caught napping and punished for it. The so called 'WORLD LEADERS' ARE total a$$holes...

Behind all these crimes  stand  israeli-secret services, they will continue with their  crimes and covert operation  unless  Jerusalem is compeletly destroyed.  That will happen in the near future. The Palestinians r  preparing heavy war  from Egypt and with Egypt support.

Seriously, this is the best move by Assad. IF the FSA do agree to disarm, he wins. If the FSA do not disarm and are then allowed to rally & continue to Ambush security forces and produce general chaos, if the west does not utter a word on how their actions are unproductive, Assad would gain a large amount of credibility from that, as he met his side of the bargain, but the FSA did not.

Even to the oppos and ignorant f*ckers at the BBC, would not be able to deny it.

Enemies of Syria 04.04.2012 09:21

Salloum is absolutely right. The enemies of Syria (US, Israel, EU, KSA, Qatar and Turkey) will not stop until they overthrow the current government of Syria in order to instal a puppet regime that is Western friendly, signs a peace treaty with Israel, and respects the New World Order that the zionists wish to create. They are clearly attempting to undermine any attempts to resolve the matter peacefully and diplomatically.

You could not make this nonsense up. A soverign state with a Goverment and leader which the vast majority of peace loveing people in Syria support , are having their security forces hands tied behind their backs and withdrawn to base. Whilst the violent ZIONIST American/NATO backed terrorist gangs of mercenaries are promised huge sums of cash and sophiscated military and terror weapons to wage a war of terror on the Syrian people , with the end game being a brutal despotic puppet regime controlled from the Pentagon. What other nation on the planet would agree to such one sided so called "peace plan" ?. Could you imagime for one second if large gangs of foreign backed terrorist demanded that the British goverment security forvces were ordered to remaim in their bases whilst Russia and China sent vast sums of cash and military equipment to the terrorist gangs, to help them take control of Britian on their behalf. Yes it would be laughed out of court, as no such Goverment would ever agree to such one sided agreement. In fact Britian , American and all NATO alinged countries have a policy never ever to talk to terrorist , and would hunt them down without mercy. This whole "peace plan" is a total charade and fraud, as the Zionist American /NATO will totally ignore any genuine efforts by the Syrian to hounour their part of the deal. The Zionist controlled western media will no doubt once again be called to do their lying dirty anti Syrian propaganda , claiming all sorts of Syrian violations , etc. The Zionist American /NATO agenda is still the same, totally defeated in Homs and their terrorist gangs compleatly destroyed , they are now buying time to reorganie and recurit and train more terrorist gangs for plan "B" , which will be a huge increase in massive car bombs in civillian markets , mosques, churches etc to cause total terror, ethnic strife and conflict were none presently exist. Then use this mayhem and terror as a false guise to invade military as they did in Libya recently. . The people of Syria must organise in their ten of thousands ,like their brother and sisters in Iran , Palastine etc , into local militia to help the security forces destroy once and for all any plans to steal their countrys Independence from them . Anyone who supports the forign backed terrorist gangs sould be treated first and foremost as a Zionist Terrorist.

I dislkie Susan Rice so much my reaction to her is visceral. Her combative, aggressive demeanour does nothing to bring warring factions together, but rather makes the situation worse. I have yet to hear her say anything positive about Kofi Annan's efforts, or offer support, which only exposes her country's hypocrisy. Not very clever, in my opinion. And to think that if Obama wins the next election we could see Rice as Sec. of State. What a prospect. As for Erdogan, he continues to stab Syria in the back in his role as NATO frontman and is leading Turkey into perilous waters with this strategy.

I think personally, this is a bad move by Assad, as I think he should of had his troops 'stayed put' and asked for the British, American, Israelie and Frech rebels to withdraw instead. Knowing how coniving the Western terrorists can be, I believe Assad has made a fundemental mistake because I'm sure as we breath today, America, Britain, France and the Israelies will be readying their troops for occupation. Assad has given the Terrorists vital ground to set their strategic bases, which will no doubt lead to more intense bloodshed to remove his regime.  I just hope that Russia, China and Iran, will monitor the situation and intervene if the terrorists try an infiltrate the country.
