Opponents of Afghan President Hamid Karzai have reportedly begun talks with the Taliban in hopes of brokering peace before the 2014 election and NATO troop withdrawal. The opposition has grown frustrated with the government’s lack of progress.

Yes, we were defeated. We kill at will in the country toppled its "leadership,&qu ot; control its resources and killed everyone we wanted to and now the Tali want to be our friends. Yes, horrible defeat. lol

See ms likely but not back to square one. Probably a secret deal between Tali and US in which the Tali vow not to support or conduct terrorism abroad. The Tali get Afghanistan and the US moves on.
