Terrorists fail to make impact in Russia - FSB

Russia's Federal Security Service, the FSB, says the threat from terrorism in the country has decreased considerably. So far in 2008, no terrorist attacks have been reported in Russia.
However, Russia’s special services are always on the go.
“As part of the security steps taken during the inauguration of the Russian President and the May celebrations, the Russian security service prevented terrorist attacks in the Moscow metro. We also managed to neutralise a terrorist who wanted to carry out attacks in the North Caucasus,” said Aleksandr Bortnikov, head of the FSB.
