Ukraine's security service has arrested a local politician and two acquaintances for trying to sell a radioactive substance which could be used to make a dirty bomb, Kyivpost.com reports.
Russia has been reprocessing other countries' depleted uranium since the 1990s, but now that the first contracts are ending, there is a growing number of voices calling for an end to the practice.
Elevator producer Otis has ordered a recall of radioactive buttons installed over several months across Europe. It’s believed the buttons may have been manufactured from nuclear sub hulls.
