As a Nepalese -Tibetan citizen, I am ashamed to see how our government is treating our Tibetan friends. In my opinion tibetans in nepal has been nothing but a blessing for nepal.. They came with their rich culture and tradition which is one of the main attraction to the tourists who come to Nepal. We should realize that tourism is the biggest income for our country. Why are we so scared of the Chinese government ????? They have always been a protest on the March 10th since the Tibetans took refuge in Nepal. Why is this brutality going on all of a sudden??? Chinese government might be helpful with their money, but we have to be very careful of them. After all isn't that how they first came to Tibet, helping first and killing later. I think it is a lesson to be learned.

For what it's worth! China is rewriting history. Remember a fellow named Ghengis Kohn?He conquered china for the purpose of trade routs. His son, whom became a devout Buddhist, gave the land called Tibet to the Tibetan people. Tibet is a sovereign Nation. They have been invaded by the Chinese. I'm sorry we care so much for the Arabs, and not the peaceful people of Tibet. It's all about money.

To Whom This May Concern, I have been assisting the Venerable Geyshela Pheylge, an eight year member of the exiled Dali Lama's Parliment and tireless Dharma Teacher. Today Geyshela spent the day blessing a friends 76 year old mother, who had just been in a near fatal car accident. Working with this tireless Tibetian Lama, I have discovered one of the most 'truly' caring individual I have ever met. Case in point, the Chinese like other peoples of the world have invaded sovereign territories-only because the world is not yet united enough to stop despot type governments from the glaring inhumanity of murder and land theft, in the name of strategic grounds for resources that plainly belong to some other people. Only a true Universal Compassion Movement will end our inhumanities to each other.

How tragic for both the Tibetan and Chinese people. China can help Tibet financially, but the loss of the Tibetan Culture is too high a price to pay. The on-going tragedy in Tibet has brought the USA an influx of wise, scholarly Tibetan Lamas to share their Buddhist wisdom with us. I am both grateful and saddened by this. Kwan Seum Bosal.

Nepal police force is tragically violating the human rights......every individual has a right to express n those peaceful demonstration is an expression of the oppression that is being faced by the Tibetans over several decades under the brutality of Chinese government. As a Tibetan I strongly appeal people across the globe to listen to the feeble voices that come from Tibetans inside and outside Tibet......so that Tibet and Tibetans co-exist without losing our identity along with the rest of the world. And I believe this is our genuine basic human right...........

I was recently in Nepal for 1 1 /2 months, and was both very inspired by the Tibetan people I met (in Pokhara, and along the Annapurna Circuit trek) and also very distressed by the no-man's land position of the Tibetans in Nepal. They cannot own land or a business, they have no citizenship, & cannot apply for citizenship - so must live in refugee camps, and struggle along as street merchants, or in whatever other clever means they can devise for eaking out a meager sustenance for their families. Meanwhile, the local Nepal business people resent the Tibetans, because they don't have to pay rent (the refugee camps are "free" ... tho' obviously of dubious home quality) .... and because they can sell goods more cheaply (since they have no "overhead" -- cannot own shops). I met many more Tibetan people in the far northern regions of India - Leh/ Ladakh -- and was consistently struck by their highly educated, hard-working, honest, very clean, and humble approach to life. My heart continues to go out to these dispossessed people, and I pray for them to somehow regain their homeland ... which, realistically, I cannot hold out much hope for. This recent arrest is an outrageous violation of their basic human rights.

I read through the comments and I am highly delighted to see the contributions made by the readers , emphasizing on the human rights violation being carried out in Tibet by PRC government and inhuman treatment by the Nepali police. I , personally, have no hatred against Chinese people, nor to the Nepalis, but I do have a point to raised my anger on their government, though my leaders and parents teaches me to be kind, compassionate , patient and forgiving but i see it vanishing when i see the pictures/video of Tibetan people being carried out like animals with blood on them .. kicking and putting them in prison . It really hurts !! I would like to thank all the people of the world who are concern about our Tibet cause and we will assure you that we will be tough/honest/kind and most of all to teach our next generation the culture of being a compassionate person and to bring peace in the world by each individual contribution. The only thing i am afraid is that too many inhuman treatment might cross the boundary of patient in our blood. Especially, if our leader HH Dalai Lama will vanish from our vision then I am afraid Chinese government will have tough time to negotiate with young Tibetan radicals and it will only bring the disharmony in their 'Harmonize society' vision by HU jin tao .

It brings tears to my eyes to see this kind of abuse upon the people of Tibet. I just finished doing research on the history and architecture of Tibet, and the city of Lhasa for an architectural project. I've also been an admirer of the Dalai Lama for a long time. This work has given me even more appreciation for the Tibetan people. It's true Tibet was a sovereign nation, China has never been in possession of Tibet until the late 50's and have no right to be there. Communism is a theory that is unlikely to ever work for humanity, and it has ruined Tibet. nothing against the Chinese people, but their government should stop the oppression. When is the rest of the world going to stop these kind of atrocities toward people. When will we elevate our conscious enough to not allow this kinds of events to transpire?

My heart hurts for the Tibetan people and the way the Chinese get away with killing, torturing and jailing so many Tibetan's. People MUST stand up and tell the Chinese....NO MORE!!!! They have to be made accountable for their actions. I am a Tibetan Buddhist and I pray every day for a solution...I pray for His Holiness and all of Tibet....there must be some way to resolve this inhumanity. His Holiness, the Dalai Lama is a kind and wonderful Lama, may His words be heard and may he live a long life on this earth. Peace to all, Janet
