Berlin rebukes ‘greedy Brits’ in battle for Europe’s future

November 16, 2011 12:24

With Berlin jockeying to take the reins of the EU, a top German official says Europe is ‘speaking German’. But as Angela Merkel eyes a political union to rope in euro stragglers, the UK is challenging this drive in "the toughest hour since WWII."

Now is certainly the time to get out the true nature of not only the EU elites but Germany shows through on some level Germans appear to think they are the greatest and everybody should obey them as the masters of the continent. If you are a smaller country their is no gain only loss of competiness and the ability to make yourself heard in the world true a small voice but better than no voice at all. The euro will continue despite the disasters because the EU has no gear for going backwards so no matter the cost the EU-state under the bigger countries are being built as long as people are to stupid to notice.

Just hope a unified Europe could have a more independent foreign policy and a more balance relation with Russia and USA. After all, Russia is part of Europe and USA is not.

I agree "Germany's own survival's at stake here."   It is survival for the Euro Zone as well as European Union.   I think that most of the Euro Zone leaders are fighting very hard to save euro.   They can save euro.     &n bsp;

What will destroy&nb sp;the EU is not financial issues, but the enormous egos of these two nations. The Germans for their part are too arrogant to see that everyone speaks German as long as they are paid to, otherwise most Europeans despise Germany as they always have... Meanwhile the British have an obnoxiously inflated opinion of their self-importance...Th e truth is that Great Britain needs the EU way more than the EU needs Great Britain

The reason why the EU is always under attack is because its a disaster, it will never work, and there are answers to solve the problem which Germany , meaning merkel cannot accept. The EU is unbalanced, you cannot force 17 countries to use the same currency, its impossible, its always been impossible, and this is why there are these problems. Germany has become prosperous in the EU, the EU was designed for Germany and France. How can Greece and Portugal survive ? They are agricultural, Germany is industrial, they are poor with little industry. Germany has been a problem for years and the only answer is for Germany to leave the EU and start again with a New Mark. This will increase costs in Germany, but it will help every country in the EU by lowering the value of the euro if it left and everybody will then start to settle down. The EU is the European Dream which is now a nightmare. Germany must grasp the nettle and leave

The  English loin is dead and there is no place for the Britisch empire any more . England is turning slowly but steadily to a non-industrialised country which feed itself from the emperial times stollen energy resources from its old colonies like Scotland or African and  Gulf countries. The English are the old parasites . England is turning  more and more to a service provider economy. The main source of  English income is teaching English  or providing university education. Even there  the English are losing their reputation.
The future of  Europe lies in the ultra modern German innovative  industrial economy which is now 20 to 30 years in advance of other competiters.

Greedy Germans after they’ve colonized EU ’rebuke’ greedy Brits, who want a bigger slice from the cake. The greedy French are silent at the moment, as they haven’t digested Libya yet, but later they will surely rebuke both of them if only crumbs will be left.
And when they divided the continent among themselves, they sing together their anthem the “Ode to Joy”.

   &n bsp;   Well so what the heck do people expect Angela to do? Sit down and do nothing as assasins conspire and attack the EURO from all sides? Artillery coming from the American Wall Street Banks and the American FED with another steeply declini ng power, Britain, with a waning and no influence in Europe stabbing her in the back? Germany's own survival's at stake here!
