July 01, 2012 09:26

British PM David Cameron has laid the foundation for a possible referendum on the UK’s EU membership, saying that “voters deserved a real choice.” He fears that UK interests might be undermined by EU legislation and said it was time for a change.

I predict British citizens will have no say. They can want but they won't get :))) All political parties want Britain at the core of the EU and that is where we want them.

Got to say that thes racist comments are not called for. Yes we have debt, yes our polititions are self serving can anyone say that no government is? i am british i dont agree with all the things our polititions do but when are not beggers, have we begged for money? no but we have bailed out other countries. and as to the comment about biased western history from Euroasian i can assure it is not biased any who wish to know the truth can find it out including the fact that Stalingrad was the turning point of the war. If you want to insult our country fine you are all showing that you are ignorant. and for those that claim to be professors are you aware that when you let emotions cloud facts and then boast that you are educated it just accentuates you conceit and arrogance.

For Spaniards, speaking English or German doesn´t make any difference being both languages Germanic. At the beginning of the XX century the German language was  broadly used in philosophy and science. In Spain, French was the first foreign language studied....now only English is used. So, the post-War American Dictatorship over Europe is very, very evident. English is an official language in India as a consequence of Colonialism. Englis h is an official language in Europe as a consequence of Colonialiam. No difference. The equivalent to Lord Mountbatten in Europe is called James Stravidis, Supreme Commander of NATO-Europe, an American Viceroy, a Dictator. European troops and European Defense are not Sovereign but just Sepoy troops from the U.S. But we will be Free.

ravi (unregistered) wrote in #16I think people on here should remember without the brits we would all be speaking german and uk exclusion you should read up on other comments because the brits along with the germans are keeping the e.u from going bust   @>>>>>>>>>>> Obviously the western politicians, historians and media have done pretty good job if they managed to convince their ppl “...without the Brits we would all be speaking German.” Or did you meant without the Russians but having serious problem to admit it? On a business note; no country gives anything for free to another even within the EU “union,” particularly the colonial countries who are use to take but give. And if it was so than Greece, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Ireland wouldn´t have had any problem.

It upsets me a lot to hear you all talking about the people in Briton as if they really have any say in what the government gets up to. I always believed that it didn't matter where you came from if you need help you should give it, and it is the responsibility of those people in positions of power who could help the world for good but get swept away in the dilution of money. So please remember it is only a handfull of people to blame most of us are just like you...... Dreaming of a better world x

It was a mistake to place the headquarters of the EBA (European Banking Authority) in London. Now we in the Eurozone need an EBA II headquartered in Frankfurt, with REAL competences while the EBA in London, which is just a waste of time and money, should be shut down as soon as possible. For the U.K. it is enough an agreement with the E.U. similar to Norway (European Economic Area) or Switzerland. Bye, bye Britain.

If I get the opportunity to vote out of EU  I will relish the thought of getting out.  In all the years that it as been touted as the future,  all that as happened is that we have supported  member countries that don’t perform. We in this country, have had to contend with a stream of nonsense from brussels in levies and stupid laws.  So please where do I sign out of this mess.
