UK delivered Syria chemicals needed for sarin production ‘for 6 years’

08.09.2013 11:13

British companies sold sodium fluoride, a key ingredient in the manufacture of the deadly nerve gas sarin, to a Syrian firm from 2004-2010, British media reveal, a sale that has been called ‘disturbing’ following the chemical weapons attack in Damascus.

Dailymail. co. uk wrote about this (last September, 7th) but in my opinion it is as "Julian" wrote. NaF is a compound used for 1000 different things like dental care.

But the Britons knew about this and may have used this information against the son of Hafiz al-Assad.

Should get their money back

Uhhh....?

Bobby Dias 10.09.2013 01:35

Obama is helping raise more taxes by selling more of these chemicals here because now these foreign governments will not want to anger the Almighty Obama.

Bobby Dias 10.09.2013 01:30

Does not mean they made sarin. Bill Clinton said that stainless steel pipes that Iran had bought was to be used for making atomic bombs but United Nations inspectors found those pipes were used in cleaning used nuclear material and then reselling that for nuclear power plants. Bill Clinton said that pipes used in Iraq were for Weapons Of Mass Destruction- United Nations and United States inspectors found them used in a dairy farm. Big scare scams by democrats are found to be what they are sooner or later to be lies.

Sodium fluoride (SF) is an inorganic chemical compound with the formula NaF.

Indeed NaF is used in toothpaste, but it **is a controlled substance** - see quote: "The US Commerce Department's Export Administration imposed a civil penalty of $750,000 on ALCOA for 100 violations of US export regulations involving shipments of potassium fluoride and sodium fluoride. Potassium fluoride and sodium fluoride are controlled because they can be used to make chemical weapons."

Nice try to discredit the most trusted name in the news industry:).

I think this sale was bait. Now they can claim that Syria has substances to make Sarin and they will find, in case, chemicals which they delivered. While in the same time they provided sarin to terrorists who used them to make case against Assad. Classic scenario a lá Holywood - James Bond.

Tony Blair 09.09.2013 11:57

As the american senator said its not about chemical weapons, but about russia & iran having too much strategic influence in the area. The plan is to remove assad as a threat from the area, which the us & israel dont like. When will the public have enough of this bullshit & do something about it.

Tony 09.09.2013 05:44

"sodium fluoride, a key ingredient in the manufacture of the deadly nerve gas sarin"

Now you the reason why Americans are asleep and ignorant. The US government deliberately puts it in the food and water supplies of mostly every city and town in the US.

These governments are going to do as they wish regardless of what the people say. we may as well give up now and hope for the best.

Well stocked and ready to protect my own....

The west is itching for a "WAR" diversion to their internal problems. There is nothing like sending millions of dollars in the shape of missiles and then asking for recompense when it is all over. Buy share's in the war mongers portfolio sit back and earn. by the way what's all that bollocks about earning money on the internet F.O.

BrandonZuniga 09.09.2013 00:17

Slick. Another move by Anglo American imperialist's to once again pin the gassing attack on the Assad regime by using questionable circumstantial evidence. They definitely force you to keep your gloves up.

Lets bomb the UK after syria then that is what we are doing correct going after the ones responsible for gas attacks

I don't see what's wrong with selling this deadly chemical to Syria... we pour it straight into our own water supply here in England!

It is also used in toothpaste to fight cavities. The problem is the quantity that the Brits sold is startling. Sodium flouride already exists in the water supply in the middle east. Countries there do not add it to the water!

James Davidson 08.09.2013 18:48

Does this mean that the USA will invade the UK now?

ian sauders 08.09.2013 18:02

Nukes don't touch 1000's but generations. Yes Sir: you may think it trivial, there is a reason why the BRICS call for sanity.
