Ukrainian President Victor Yushchenko has called on the international community to help the country combat the swine flu epidemic which hit the country last week. Kiev is taking emergency measures to stop the outbreak.

It sounds like their overreacting. As of yet swine flu is no more harmful or contagious than the common flu for more than 99% of the people who get it. Ukraine might be hurting itself more through negative placebo effect than it is helping itself by getting people to take extra precautions. Plus, the overly worried atmosphere is fueling the fraud.

Is anybody really sure this whole 'swine flu' thing is nothing more than a bail-out and stimulus for Big Pharma and medical companies? And an excuse to declare 'national emergency' for other agenda? When I was a kid, I looked for any excuse to ditch school for a day or two. How convenient for all ...
