This is just another provocation by the United Sates in order to manufacture a casus belli for its military presence in South East Asia. Nobody wants the American Naval forces stationed on their ports nor the American fighter planes flying their skies. The Japanese are mad as hell about Okinawa. The Chinese are fed up with the Seventh Fleet criss crossing their waters. The North Koreans are simply holding their own and have absolutely no motivation to initiate any military adventure. The threat of the American forces stationed on their borders since the armistice of 1953 is intolerable. The South Koreans are tired of doing the American bidding of creating constant enmity between themselves and their northern brothers. Everybody is waiting for the Americans to pack up and leave. The two hundred member delegation (army) headed by Hillary Clinton could not convince the Chinese of any North Korean culpability in the sinking of the South Korean warship and returned empty handed. This strong handed foreign policy does not bode well for peace in the region , nor does it help the fast eroding American credibility in the world.
