Iran ‘gives guidance’ to US ship in pirate distress

May 24, 2012 11:12

Iran’s navy was the first to respond to a distress call from an American vessel attacked by pirates – despite the two countries tottering on the brink of war. The US flag vessel Maersk Texas was assailed northeast of the Arab Emirates.

Well, I never bought into the "Iran is evil" propaganda, but this should prove that fact to those who have.  If not, those who have are war-mongering, middle-easterner hating neo-cons, and we all know they are a lost cause.  Just think if we weren't constantly making enemies on the Arabian peninsula, we might have money to spend on our own infrastructure here at home.

God always is God, good men always be in Heaven, bad men always be in Hell.  In this case, Iran just did like God had said: "Love your enemies". May God be with you Iranian.

Iran did that more for Iran than they did for the crew of the boat.  Personally, I would have rather dealt with the pirates, knowing what I know about the human rights abuses that Iran has racked up....

I have been on many of them, even the "Veterans Today". They will let you knock yourself out and Zionist this and Jews that, as long as you make a fool out of yourself and sound incoherent and angry. You are especially welcome if you use a vulgar language which shows you have an empty quiver. But use a clean language and give a cool headed and solidly substantiated case backing your claims and views, you are out in a heart beat. If you do not have that type of experience you either are not posing an intellectual threat or you are offering the former case, or worse you have never tried anyway. Either way, instead of acting like a moral police of other posters' standards of virtue, get involved in the debate itself and add something to the discussion.

Again, if the news outlet lets you disect the article and show what is ritht or wrong about it, it does not matter who funds them and if they are biased or have an agenda or infiltrated by subversive elements. If you cannot analyze the piece, formulate your thoughts and offer a solid take on the issue, then its YOUR problem not what might be wrong with the news agency.

Another gesture of compassion by this peaceful nation......The United States did the same not very long ago........it is sad to see that Americans have to act agressive and be warmongers .... ..Because of the ZIONISTS take over of American politic......Wish this gesture of friendship cont inue to grow............Long live HUMANITY........

Americans rescued Iranian sailors a few months ago, too. Does that mean America isn't as black as it's painted either? Hypocrite.

hey "art" if you actually read and posted on those sites, you'd realize that your comment is complete BS and that you have no idea wtf you're talking about. and there is a HUGE comparison between RT and FOX. one's funded by right wing capitalist nutbags and the other is funded by pro kremlin nutbags. both are completely biased news sources. and both have an agenda. neither gives you the full story and neither is actually worth calling a 'reliable' news source (if there is such thing as one).

Of course if it was the Mossad or USS Liberty.. they would have not covered this at all.  Thanks Iran for saving the useless stupid americans

Do you guys remember when the US ship helped the Iranians in a similar situation a few months ago??? If you remember that, then stop saying the US is evil and the Iran is the peaceful one, hypocrites.

THEY ARE NOT PIRATES (unregistered) 24.05.2012 19:13

They are somalis who have had their govt destroyed by usa imperialism and their means of making an existance exterminated from the war ravaging the country. I would not judge a person who chooses to hijack ships that are taking advantage of the fact somalia has no navy to protect its shores from using the somali coast as the worlds toilet for dumping toxic and radioactive materials that otherwise would cost a lot of money to dispose of. Maybe some somalis hijack any ship out of desperation to eat a meal but even in these cases the problem of hijacking cannot be fixed without first addressing usa imperialism.

Comment sections are not a dessert or an entertainment part coming up after the news articles. As long as it is free for every one to make themselves heard, you can participate and make yourself heard too, instead of whining about the morality of the posters. Fox and most of the Western news outlets will cut you out in a heart beat as soon as they realize you know too much. There is no comparison between RT and Fox.
