09.09.2013 03:53

Brazil seems to me to be progressing toward social democracy and a country that cares about its people. This will attract the US and its Laissez-faire capitalist thinkers who believe that "freedom" is defined by laissez-faire capitalism - and anything less, like social democracy, are "socialism" ; and "signs of attacks against freedom."
I f you are a country that takes care of your own people and regulates capitalism in some way, expect to attract spying and perhaps sabotage by the US.

Brazil is a country where the majority of its people loves consumerism, enjoys a lot the american culture and shopping in NY (or dream to shop there one day). Here the masses doesn't have a clue of what world order is or what truly motivates the foreign policies: more market, more power and control. Washington can spy, steal, block our development and bypass the sealed agreements, the people here doesn't care! They are more concerned asking when the next DC comics movie will be released.

If Obama find out where the oil reserve of Brazil is, maybe Obama will find chemical weapons in Brazil and will want to lunch a military offensive against Brazil, Watch out Brazilians!! Obama is after you guys!!

I live in America and am part of that other 1%: the old who have worked all our lives and are held hostage, in poverty, by those in power. The sadness and betrayal by our own gov, is pervasive here: we just have no voice anymore. Be merciful to the people as we are no longer our gov.

Kyleen, thank you, my family is in the same boat as yours.

It will be intersting to see if Dilma and Nieto's outrage is genuine or just show for their voters, ie, whether or not they are just Amerikan minions.

People forget that the whole Internet was developed by the DARPA and US Army. Now comes to the realisation that it was actually Trojan horse created by the anglosaxonic neocolonialists in order to spy and destabilize whichever country they choose by different types of actions. The whole US goverment is actually working in favour of their masters which is Bilderberg group and their multinational companies. Clear as a day.

Worry not, the human resolve to survive is stronger than you think, have faith in your fellow man, we are not and will never be slaves no any Master !!

Most true. The international outrage that we are currently witnessing has restored my faith in humanity. America has already lost its power, it's just going to take a while for the realization to set in.

So not only do they start war to steal oil, they are also stealing the locations of oil reserves from non American corporations. The UN needs to step in and take drastic action against America!

It is a shame that so many innocent, good-hearted Americans must suffer for the evils of that 1%, but we - the people of the world - need to protect ourselves.

Mark & Anna 09.09.2013 10:08

The rest of the world needs to vote with their wallets. Boycott all American companies and goods. This is the only thing that will hurt them because all they care about is the $.

We have already started this process within our company. and our home. BOYCOTT THE USA.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupt absolutely.

Imagine a world where the US has absolute power and control.Other nation's cultures and histories, that have spanned thousands of years, melting away to be replaced by a sickening and grotesque 200 year old US culture of greed, inanity and self-interested obsession with sex and money. A culture within which dissent is met with brutality and the future for the people is one of empoverished enslavement.

Is that a world we would wish our grandchildren and their children to be born into?
