US ‘collective punishment’ strips Palestine of $200 million

October 02, 2011 10:44

The US Congress has blocked almost US $200 million in aid for Palestine, in an apparent bid to make them pay for seeking UN recognition. Palestinian authorities say the move amounts to “collective punishment” of their people.

The American Congress's action highlights the vindictiveness and egoism of American's politicians vis-a-vis other countries, nationalities, and ethnic groups. No one, it seems, is allowed to say or do anything that displeases Washington.   All will receive retribution from Washington one way or another - whether cutting off finances, smearing your name and image, or threaten you with warships, planes, or heightening tensions between you and your neighbours.  And that does not include economi c protectionist measure such as increased impot tariffs, banning under questionable American law, etc.  Aye.   Washington is nothing but a bl**dy bullying imperialistic b*st*rd!  Palestine should not be dependent on Washington's largesse. That is their way to put you in their pocket.  It is fortunate Saudi Arabia has promised to make up the loss.  Do what Washington always professes to wish for people of the "free" world - FIGHT for your FREEDOM.  Say "No" to Washington.

The shekel is mightier than the dollar...at least to most members of our elected Congress think so . every other year in August a group of our Congressional Representatives visit Israel. You only have to look at those in the running on the G.O.P. ticket its easy to see those that used our tax dollars and paid submission fees to visit. Congressman Jim Trafacant served prison time for stepping on the toes of the ' H ' word.

America could have been more affective in this conflict if they didn't jump into the mud with the Palestinians and Israelis. Now they are as muddy as the people in conflict. As for the Jewish lobby in America - they play a dangerous game. American interests should not be dictated by such a small group (fundamentalists) at the expense of hundreds of millions of Americans including non fundamentalist Jews. The world is changing, both Israel and American (government)seem unable to change (the western countries generally). This will leave them irrelevant in the future - beggars in every way - they act like alcoholics unable to kick their old habits or crazies doing the same thing over and over expecting something different to happen. It is a sad situation when we let fearful people hold power and no wonder why the west is collapsing.

Maybe the US is planning to pay part of it's 15 billion debt to UN with this 200 million economic sanction?
