I'm amazed that anyone can think the Kremlin and China have the right of this issue. They are hardly beacons of liberty and democracy and by supporting Assad are definitely on the wrong side of this argument. Anyone who thinks otherwise must be brain-dead. Russia backs Syria because it provides a Mediterranean naval base and China does so because it is ashamed of condemning anyone for fear of criticisms of it's own abysmal human rights record. These two countries are major players in the world and yet show not moral leadership whatsoever they are interested only in making money, i.e. selling arms, oil/gas and exploiting African resources. They criticise the West but have learned from none of their mistakes. It's not wonder no-one looks to these countries for leadership they are dictatorships and should be ashamed.

arab spring is an awakening across the region to the concept that islamic justice should extend into personal rights as regrads government and politics.  If you want to say that it is a foreign conspiracy then you would have to blame it upon alarabiya and aljazeera for planting the ideas and facebook for allowing people to hold private discussions.  In each country it takes a different path in accordance to each government that it confronts.  However, the central issue has been exactly the same in every country.  People have a right to demand justice.  In Syria, the trigger event was some children in Daraa who were tortured.  The parents demanded justice and the government refused.  Neither side has backed down from that point and Assad has managed to turn a few cans of spray paint into a revolution.  He and the baath will go down in history as a bad government equal to Marie Antionette.

The Arab Awakening, is somehow right, for example in Tunis, since independence in 1956, they had 2 presidents, Boutafliqa (1956-1987) and Zein Al-Abedin (1987-2012)....they have a right.Also Libya, they had Qaddafi since 1967, when he made a military coup against the king...But in Syria, Bahsar Al-Assad has a right to remain 14 if reelected one time...and he remained for 12 years, plus the emergency law has been removed long ago, and the secret police....there is no country which doesnt have secret police...also the shabiha, they arent allowed to shoot unless its self-defense...So Al-Assad did everything the people asked, yet USA,Qatar,KSA are sending terrorists to syria...the goverment arrested more than 30 libyans who has heavy weapons (Israeli Made)...also the bombings at damascus....1000 KG of explosives on a highway!!!the goverment isnt stupid to do this...it caused millions of dollars of damage!!!and it killed 100 and injured 400!!!Yet the USA said that the goverment did it...so how can syria do all this when the West is tightening the economical grip there....the prices in Syria more than tripled yet the salary is the same....(Thats called: USA is urging more people to go on uprisings)

Some people dont care who is oppressing who, or who has to live in horrid conditions. As long as "the USA is stopped" people couldnt care less about the fate of others.

The west and Syria had good relations. The west dosent want Assad goes cause hes "uncooperative". Israel dosent have a problem with Syria. Afterall, Israel is occupying the Golan Heights and Syria has done nothing about it. 

The real story in Syria is Assad is part of a tiny sect, the Alwalite sect, that rules over the majority Sunni and Shia sects. The Sunnis and Shias want to be able to have access to the ruling class they have been shut out of for so long. Its a civil war with outside interference. 
T he USA cant fix it, neither can Russia, China, Iran, or anyone else. Only Syrians can resolve their civil war. Asking Russia and China to help Assad is the same as asking the USA to help the opposition. NEVER pick sides in a civil war.
