The entire case looks like a lie. If we look past the very convenient timing of these alleged sex crimes, it just seems so stupid. Even if he felt the need to sexually abuse two women, surely he would have second thoughts on it, considering that he had just made such a name for himself and he'd know that his actions would backfire. If he did rape those two women it would be terrible, but it would still not justify an extradition to the US. How can anyone with common sense believe these charges that are filed against him?
Agree. I bothered to read the story of the complains and frankly it looks like two women just want to punish the guy for their own being easy lays. Ridiculous. Sure he better be more strict in his sexual behaviour but that's moral issue not a legal one. It does seem to be a subterfuge to stop Wikileaks.
Julian will never win as long as we fear exposing the truth. People are so fearful of losing their jobs or being arrested for telling the truth and wonder why things are this bad? If the truth about those Bankers came out do you think any Gov. would let them off as easy?
Read my comment before "I am positively sure he is going to be extradited". It did not take the "tribunal" more than 10 minutes.
The "arguments" of the lawyers were also meant not to make any difference. The case would have to be based on the accusing part proving beyond any doubt their statements. Given the history of events with the two women, their twitters boasting about having sex with julian and them going to parties together days after the "rape" is what should have been taken as a proof of lies. Saying that the warrant was invalid is ridiculous because they Swedish are the ones who can say if they have authority to do that or not.

Yep - the US wants him too bad, European countries won't go against the US gov't. It isn't going to matter if the man is guilty or not. They are going to play nice with Uncle Sam ....

This is a show trial, everybody knows it. I am positively certain they will bust him and approve extradition. It does not matter whatever is said, the decision was taken when wikileaks started publishing files and videos.
The only hope for Assange is to appeal, if he can, to the Human Rights Tribunal, which is another circus, too, but at least will give him some years ahead.
