15 years for U.S. mum who killed adopted Russian toddler

An American woman who killed a toddler she had adopted from Russia has been sentenced to up to 15 years in prison.
Kimberly Emelyantsev was handed the sentence after 14-month-old Kolya died in March. The cause of death was given as a skull fracture resulting from a blow to the head, with the autopsy also revealing the child was heavily bruised.
The adoptive mother pleaded guilty to second-degree murder.
