Undiscovered Chernobyl

RT’s Alexey Yaroshevsky has filmed another documentary in the Chernobyl exclusion zone. His new project will tell the story of history’s worst manmade nuclear disaster through dialogue with a man exiled from his hometown of Pripyat. Over the course of the week spent inside the zone, Alexey visited previously undiscovered parts of the deserted area.

Radiation levels here are not that strong – below ten times the human norm

We were told by our stalker (from now on, Denis) that the family which lives here returned almost straight after the collapse of the Soviet Union. However, we were unlucky to miss having a word with them, as they were gone – probably to the nearest town outside the zone to re-supply themselves.
