Hypocritical Britain hates student protests in its backyard

13.12.2013 21:42

Western elites love student protesters. That is, when they’re protesting in countries whose governments the West would like to see toppled. But they’re not so fond of it in their own countries. We saw a classic example of this in Britain this week.

Students join a long list of people targeted by the police including football fans,Miners,New Age Travellers, and Irish Travellers. In the latter case Essex police whilst professing on their website that they are neutral and do not conduct evictions nevertheless conducted the biggest eviction in Europe in 2011 backed by HMG to the tune of nearly £10m.This without any explanation.

33% of the U.K population between 16 and 65 have a degree level qualification or higher. This has done absolutely nothing to raise standards in our society. In fact I would say as a Nation we are becoming more stupid. I have heard complaints about the standard of University graduates who go into employment and are unable to think for themselves.
Educ ation has become pure indoctrination in many subjects especially the social "sciences" .

Y our point being?

Universiti es, like schools have to meet certain targets.

If the health of the British "democracy" ; is measured by how they treat their students, Cameron and Clegg would easily fail that test.

There is no "democracy" ; nowere in the world.... we live in prison planet. The European (nazicommunistfascis t) Union is a very big step toward the global goverment.

Here in The Netherlands we aren't even allowed to demonstrate unless the government we'll be demonstrating against issues us a permit.
These so called government who are supposed to be helping us, as a people, and who's economy's we support are violating our rights.
The U.N. is a joke too - and if it wouldn't have been for Putin we'd have a world war III on our hands right now.

This is all corporate greed, we shouldn't allow these inadequate people to run our countries any longer; honestly I think they're afraid eventually we'll all take on this state of mind; and stop paying these criminals.

Henk Wijers 15.12.2013 12:26

Very good article, thank you RT! I'm always very satisfied after reading your coverage's, thank God for a propaganda free media; we all know there aren't many left.

I think it's ridiculous, peaceful protesters violated from they're basic human rights.
It's getting worse and worse as well, look at the riots in Greece and Spain; and how the government let police forces solve it, completely out of control and without restraint.

Ian Foster 15.12.2013 11:47

I smell an awful smell coming from RT. Here. Although I believe the students are on the right track

It will be interesting to see people starting to actually bring heavy weaponry to the protests and start mowing cops down....... IF the people want change, give em change......
