I'm confused, can anyone help me?

15.04.2014 09:03

I'm confused. A few weeks ago we were told in the West that people occupying government buildings in Ukraine was a very good thing. These people, we were told by our political leaders and elite media commentators, were 'pro-democracy protestors'.

Thanks for Neil Clark's comprehensive yet concise critique, which I first read in an excellent German translation in the Austrian magazine "Phoenix." I too am passing it on.

The US military industrial complex is the biggest, lying bunch of hypocrites in history!

You must be from the U.S., no one can be so uneducated and ignorant of history and come from Europe! Buy a book and learn something that is consistent with the truth.

your out of your gourd. Communism has "clearly been far worse".???? Than what ? NOT being exploited by capitalism? . Communism is " worse than Nazism " only if you don't have a grip on basic history, or perhaps reality, or if your a fascist pig, or a Bilderberg oligarch......or Obama

" But I've just been watching coverage of elections in Afghanistan, held under military occupation, which have been hailed by leading western figures, such as NATO chief Anders Fogh Rasmussen "

Ande rs Fog(horn) Rasmussen is a nauseating shill for the NATO/US world domination scheme. He's a puffed up Oligarch who's made a lifetime career peddling war and NATO empire, who will have a comfy chair, and posh digs at the Bilderberg

His tory has been written by the victors, and that false account of history is now enforced (even with jail time now) by the present day leaders of those victor states.

Sorry, I wanted to say: Mr Neil Clark...

Mr Shamil, many thanks for your article. We feel like crazy listen oposite criteria for some kind of things.
The massacre inside Trade Union building in Odessa was seen in direct time by some ucranian channels, even the murdered of the pregnant lady in real time...They are not people not animals, they are just demons!

It's sad to say, but something of a truism among people across the globe who oppose the tyranny of neoliberal, imperialist, austerity-pushers, that if the U.S. government supports supports cause X then X is probably something any sensible person should oppose. This is, of course, hardly ALWAYS the case, since on rare occasions the U.S. government might happen, -- if only by mistake,-- to support some cause that is actually worthwile. Still profound suspicion is always warranted, for in general the approbation of a cause by the U.S. White House or State Department, constitutes two strikes against it already.

USA like to invade and submit to their interests small countries, such Iraq, Vietnam (or throw the atom bomb on undefended and small Japan in the recent past) but they fail and fear to dominate Russia... Do not forget that all these things had begun earlier with the Cold War period... If Russia had no military power, USA would have already tried to invade and dominate Russia like they did with Iraq, under any pretext.... And not that I am not 100% pro-Russia and I am not saying that the Ukraine´s occupations or interference by Russia is right...

Fiódor A. Potemkin 03.05.2014 17:18

So US politicians and their allies try to spread lies around the World, try to weaken Russia in all the possible ways. An all these attempts are clearly explainable (but not reasonable) to me, because the Russia is, maybe the only nation in the World, who could face USA in an eventual war (which I hope will never happen) ...to be continued

Fiódor A. Potemkin 03.05.2014 17:16

The reason of all this, is that USA are afraid of Russian military power, are afraid of russian Gas industry and Russia being one of the most players in this market, representing a key role to some European countries economies. Beside this, Russia still has a great population it terms of numbers and high human capital level !!! And also is the BIGGEST country in the World...

Finally, s.o. with a mind of his own and showing it. Anyone else you know? I seem to be alone at home.

Elena Baerends 02.05.2014 15:23

Double standards are working, what is more sad, that Western and American politicians understand it and they go forward with it.

Irina Tverdokhlebova 29.04.2014 19:10

The truth is painful but is treated differently in opposite parts of Ukraine! Ukraine politicians do not want to reveal the truth to common people as well as to foreighners. It is like in a famous proverb" the grass is always greener on the other side of the river"!
