Ahmadinejad sets Switzerland and Israel at odds

Diplomatic squabbles, criticism of Switzerland and a boycott of seven major participants – such is the background of the UN’s first global racism conference in eight years, which opens on Monday.
Some of the things Ahmadinejad said was indeed provocative, but I agree with some of his statements. Israel cannot continue to use the holocaust as an excuse for their actions for all eternity... Its a shame that the western diplomats walked out of the room like children that not like what they hear. While doing so they ignore the very foundation of free speech and show that they arent capable of using words instead if aggression. Instead of walking out, they should rather have confronted him with their own words in a civilised manner.

If countries don't want to attend and support free speach, then its up to them, it just isolates them and marginalises them from the world community. The world is a big place, with a new hierachy and world order coming in to existance. It is hardly surprising that the countries not taking part, are the ones engaged in torture. Compared to torture, trying to stifle free speach, is a menial task. So let the debate begin, on this most important topic, amongst the ones who can still debate, and who are part of the world community. Let's hope we can make some inroads into racism, with the support of the vast majority of the worlds leaders.
