New measures will regulate the activities of Internet users in Belarus as the country prepares for presidential elections.

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed a decree imposing stricter control over internet access in the former Soviet republic and obliging providers to collect users’ personal data and profiles.

Mr. Lukashenko is light years ahead of Obama as far as "democratic freedoms" are concerned. Obama got himself Internet kill switch which was unanimously approved by "elected" Senators.Obama can shutdown the whole internet when he feels like it. The Naziland Senators proclaimed the Internet US National Security asset as well, guess that was needed to justify the unjustifiable.
