How can a world class leader, like President Medvedev, form a union with a poor and repressive country like Belarus. Russia deserves better allies than Lukashenko. Infact, President Lukashenko is the problem! Belarus could have a better leader than him. Belarus, under Lukashenko, would be a liability for Russia.
