Putin: 'don't mix politics with business or soccer'

May 03, 2012 14:14

Mixing politics with sport is unacceptable, said Russian President-elect Vladimir Putin, commenting on a possible boycott of Euro-2012 by some European politicians in protest at the treatment of imprisoned former PM Yulia Tymoshenko.

Komorowski made a point. It would be ridiculous for EU countries to quit some sport events in US or terminate some exchange with US when Nixon was impeached. Stupid feeble burEaUcrats!

I bet you're a millionaire.  I hate millionaires.  See, billionaires have realizations, and we usually don't conflict.  It's almost like i'm competing with millionaires, or they use me.  Hope you enjoyed the enterainment and all the disrespect you've been getting lately.

Armenians don't want to go to Azerbaijan for the Eurovision contest because they don't feel safe......and they get fined!!!!  The Europeans don't like Ukrainian politics which is none of their business so they don't show up at the soccer tournament....What's the matter? They don't feel 'safe'? Fine the Europeans, too!

I would rather want to see a Christiano Ronaldo, Asharvin 'the assasin', Andre Iniesta, Lukas Podolski, Wayne Rooney and even borrow Lionel Messi from Argentina and the passionate soccer lovers in their colours with all the emotions at missed goal chances than watch at the stands pot-bellied warmongering wicked politicians from EU and other parts of the world. We football lovers wont miss the politicians at EURO 2012, they should all stay away and allows us to catch our fun after watching Zambia the under rated team win the African Championships its time for another unknown team in Europe to pull a surprise like the hard fighting Greece National team did sometime ago.

Hey Putin, this isn't your Euro tournament. Also, Ukraine is not your country, even though you want it, so shut up and go back to your hole!
Don't forget to wipe your polish mouth once in a while, the residue from the last US a.skissing is still showing.

As my reality gets increasingly distorted, I can't help but think that this is a pointless punishment.  Not only do I not learn anything, but I'm not an example.  You want me to be the great shooka of Babylon, I will be the biggest shooka known to man.  It's romantic, sweetie.  Damsel in distress. I'm innocent :P  I want to see how low they'll go.  My mind is fading.  They could never beat me as me.

I'm not bitter.  I'm retarded or braindead.  You're male, so you somehow escape this wrath, even though you're a bold faced dissident, which is fine in my book.  Enjoy Madonna's "A Bedtime Story."   You should check out my music video, "No Reflection."

This is a clever ploy to steal Antarctica???? I believe you mean the North Pole....Cynicism doesn't become you Kaela. Stay off that bitter tea. Besides that................

Sometimes a soccer ball is just a soccer ball......Putin understands this....Let the people play and let's forget about Yulia's pouting face for a minute......I hear the Ukrainians might have a fairly decent team these days...

As a retarded, peasant politician, I say Putin is being naive.  You have to exploit any opportunity for your state's worth or your own survival.  In this case, it's Antarctica.  I expect to be invited to the next UN meeting.  Good kids don't get involved in politics.  You know i'm going to be front and center then. Larry, he doesn't give a flying hoot about the average, suffering Joe.  Nobody does. This is war.

Simple common sense is what makes Putin a great leader. That's the kind of observation that would get him elected president in the US.........and puts him in touch with the average suffering Joe.

Yulia & her European  patrons on the other hand won't win the hearts & minds of hurting Ukrainians by punishing them more.
