This new legislation does not have to mean NGOs cease operations.  It just makes the foreign-funded ones a little more honest.  Maybe some Russians will support them anyway, but now Russians will benefit from more disclosure.

Good! These liberal b*stards who thoughtlessly participate in the destruction of everything russian must be identified as foreign agents. Family planing groups that support and suggest abortions, homosexual groups that deprave young generation, organizations like "Golos" that hide behind human rights and democracy (all of which just empty words) but are designed to bring about instability should all be labled and hopefully banned in the future.
Well done Russia!

Why the heck is restricting foreign participation in the electoral process damn good for the United States, ( to the point of incarceration of American citizens caught to have solicited or received foreign funding ) and bad for Russia to promulgate and implement the same laws? Goodspeed with it! The American government guards against foreign participation in its so-called democratic process, by making laws banning American citizens taking foreign money from foreigners! If this is good for America, then likewise it's good for Russia to go ahead and ban foreign money to NGOs and NCOs trying to adulterate Russia's electoral process with foreign money! Period!

ha ha ha CIA did not even change names. In Poland we had Solidarnosc sponsored by CIA/MI5 and rest of Zionist world. Since 89 we are under Zion occupation - effect? no own industry, 15% jobless rate average, 10% of population emigrated for ever, schools and hospitals are down. By strange coincidence  every politician coming from Solidarnosc was either a Jew or Zionist puppet - Kaczynski, Geremek, Kwasniewski, Rotfeld, Michnik  - all Jews. Sikorski - AIPAC worker and US govt trainee. Go Russian Brothers go kick Solidarnosc agents a55es untill you have time !

This bill, will make a lot of fools happy. In Russia, every single politician is receiving money from the foreign sources. Russia is already sold out to the foreigners. Foreign companies running the industrial show in Russia and paying their cohorts with the money, which real source could not be identified. And what about mafia? Can anybody tell the Russian people, in what sort of activity this organization is involved, and what sort of people and what sort of money, running in the circle?

Gosh, isn't RT trying to influence politics inside the United States?

Yes, it is.  It is a foreign government funded operation trying to influence internal American politics.

It should either cancel shows like Alyona and stop reporting internal US news or it should be banned from operating in and broadcasting in the US.

RT workers are not journalists. They are FOREIGN AGENTS!

Thinking like that is exactly why this law is needed in Russia. Anyone making a statement like that is obviously more supportive of the West than Russia, and prone to seeking foreign influence in Russian matters.

How about  'globally corporate -owned' media propaganda like CNN, CBS, ABC & NBC?

These networks no doubt have the financial backing of global foreign corporations and are used as mouth-pieces for corporate propaganda.  Remember how all the above networks (especially CBS) bombarded their viewers with pro-bail out propaganda during the financial crisis of 2007/2008?

'G lobal' corporations should be considered 'foreign agents'

AND AGAIN FOR ALL YOU NATO PROPAGANDA TOOLS , like Susan & Steve....
Matthew 7:3  "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?"

W hy don't you ban the BBC from the U.S. as a 'foreign agent' which is  a UK government-owned propaganda outlet?

...Or how about canceling pro NATO 'Al Jezeera' as a 'foreign agent' because it is owned by the state of Qatar....?

Ru ssia should also block any broadcasts into Russia of PBS/NPR and 'Radio  Free Europe' which are all U.S. propaganda.
