WAIT, just the other day I was reading on Russia Today outraged comments that Occupy Wall Street protesters were not allowed to camp out for months on end. I read that the destruction and eviction of protesters who had been there illegally for weeks on end was a travesty of justice. Now Russia won't even allow protesters for the most important election in seven years to even stay the night?
How' s that hypocrisy for you?

It is one thing to gather peacefully, and make your opinions clear! But why is it so many people, included those that has had a significant increase in their standard of living, and unlike some decades ago, do not have to wait in lines for meat or bread, and with patience will all Russians get everything they can think of! "Even things they do not know they need", because thats the way the consumer based marked forces work! But it is of great concern we here in the west, and surely also many of you Russians read and hear that there is "elements of public enemies", that is capable to start violent and bloody actions in connection with the predicted election result, or that have alternating motives for such actions! This I would say, would be an outright dissaster for your country, and far beyond that!!! Whatever your opinion is or what political view you have, this must not, and can not, in the name of civilisation and humanity be allowed to happen! That will be the guaranteed failure and tragedy! So act with care and show the world that you all are peaceloving and honest people!!! GO MR. PUTIN! WIN THAT ELECTION AND LET NOTHING SPOIL THE GOOD THING YOU HAVE GOING!!!

BTW ...None of these Beemer-driving comfortable EMPLOYED MOSCOVITE yuppies really want to spend a cold Russian March night outdoors. They'd rather be at home watching 'South Park' on TV..

Unlike the UNEMPLOYED AMERICAN OWS demonstrators who are far more desperate and being treated worse than their Russian counterparts

......sounds like NYC, but it sure beats the Oakland response to peaceful demonstrators......W e probably won't see any demonstrators getting pepper-sprayed directly in the face like we saw in NYC....or running street battles like London....And I really doubt Putin supporters will spam anti-Putin websites in the US the way anti-Putin stooges spammed RT.....

And at the end of the day, all the comfortable EMPLOYED MOSCOVITE demonstrators will drive back home in their Beemers in time for Borsht....

In as mush as I like the Show of people's right to demonstrate peacefully and the  Flexibility of the Russian system to accommodate& nbsp;it, I must say that I'm growing tired of it all, people have lives to live, all's not Bad in Russia and in fact far Better off than in the West.

It's time for Putin to instruct the Nationalist participants in these demonstrations to start destabili sing it from within causing it to implode, I have No sympathy for the Liberal causes of these groups, Russia will never become like the West and if they don't like it here then they should Go to the West and catch all the FUN they can Dream of.

Us minorities should just stay at home.  It's like, your life is horrible becuase you are lazy, broken or disabled.  We're the ones that corrupt the system.  Giants just exploit us for their own political interests.  The slogans we say are profound.   M y brain...   Ho w come they got to say their words?  What they speak, it's all gibberish.  My words had meaning, deep meaning.  @_@ now X_X  Now fix the brain.

Absolutely the protests are working well; it’s a tribute to the protesters, authorities and police alike, it’s their right to protest. Indeed it’s a model to the world of how protests should be done. This is of course in stark contrast to the brutality in North America and the EU in dealing with protesters. Ok the protests are thinning out with only under twenty thousand attending the symbolic white drugs emblem ring around the Kremlin, hastily devised to make up for dropping protest numbers, but this drop is to be expected as our citizens think more and more about the fake videos and fraud tactics of the ‘opposition’ of liars, deceivers and paid agents, and realise that their ‘opposition’ leaders are trying to use them as hamsters and penguins in a western attack on their country.

Good that activists and city government have negotiated an agreement. The important Orange Revolution in Ukraine had its own methods, but Russia's White Revolution doesn't need a camp to make it work - its already working just fine.

@ Count Cash, The western political experts have admitted this fact analysing why Putin is so popular; he delivers 70% of what he promises. Compare him with the hypocrite Obomber. The difference is; one is a leader and another chosen as a leader but only limited to the role to play a clown instead.

I think the reason why Putin is considered the most interesting politician in the world, is because he delivers, rather than just talks about change that no one can now believe in, which some highly ineffective and burnt out US presidents have done. Putin indeed, due to his unrivalled performance on the world and domestic stages - accomplishing a whole country turnaround in some 8 years, in comparison with the benchmark for US president’s poor performance, a president who couldn’t even shut one concentration camp in his term, simply highlights the much higher calibre of Putin as a leader. We are very lucky to have such an experienced and capable statesman, but even better, with Medvedev we have two add Lavrov its three ….. a little better than the OBummer and Bush’s - A dumbs family.

what? You who oppose Putin should realize the man is stronger than Chuck Norris. Russian Chuck Norris!!

• A fork that Putin ate from can slay a vampire with one stab.
• A chair that Putin sat on gets promoted to the rank of Major General.
• When Putin was little, he broke a cup. The spilled water turned into oceans and the splinters became continents.
• Putin can scratch his own heel without bending over.
• Shirts worn by Putin are sent to a secret military facility and converted to the strongest layer of armor for the Russian tanks.
• Socks worn by Putin are routinely dropped on Chechen rebels.
• Putin’s used tissues become the property of the Department of Cartography and their content is classified.
• Putin knows every Russian citizen’s name, address, and phone number. If you say a dirty word, Putin will call you in the evening to reprimand. • When Putin’s name is typed, the first letter capitalizes itself.
• By squinting his eye Putin can read and write multimedia DVDs.
• Putin’s stare has downed 15 American satellites spying over the Kremlin.
• Putin’s stare penetrates a ten foot lead wall and brings a kettle to a boil within 10 seconds from three miles away. For public safety he must wear special contact lenses at all times.
• Chechen rebels blow themselves up when they hear Putin’s true name.
• Saying Putin’s name repeatedly contributes to the common good in the universe.
• Putin inhales carbon dioxide and exhales oxygen, ensuring the continuation of life on the planet.
• Putin’s love for humankind heats up the planet by 2.35 degrees annually - a phenomenon also known as the Global Warming.
• Putin appeared in Thomas Edison’s dream and revealed how to live in harmony with the Universe. But all Edison could remember in the morning was how to make the light bulb.
• Everything Putin touches turns into a national project.

It is s shame that the US does not understand the principles of proportionality in dealing with its citizens, preferring to shoot, pepper spray and beat them, just as a show of force and intimidation. But then again those are exactly the same horrendous conditions and worse that the Iraqi and Afghan people have had to endure, under US illegal occupation, torture and rape with the same US mindset deliberately targeting civilians, even including women and children for extermination.

Tomasz,
Just a reminder, that you suppose to visit your shrink today for your daily session of "anger management"... Now, why do not allow the "protesters" to camp? I think, the Moscow authorities should do that. More than that, -- I would strongly recommend them to allow this to happen. Because, it would be fun and entertainment for free... Unlike those OWS protesters camping on the streets of American cities and for many of whom their camps are the only places which can be viewed as "home" and "work place", the "protesters" in Moscow would arrive at the camps on Mercedes and BMW, dressed in Calvin Klein or Loreal Loren cloth, accompanied by hot models... They would get together in very unusual for them place, confused, and&n bsp;looking as a bunch of pathetic fools who are protesting against the system which allowed and made them rich -- basically, protesting against themselves and their lifestyle. To complete the picture of this modern "Russian zoo", the iron fences and cordons of police should be put around those protesters -- to protect them from those who are "outside of real life"... I think, that will be funny to watch. So, why would the Moscow authorities be against all that? They do not like e ntertainment an d do not like street theater?

@Count Cash --- You have got it completely wrong. People are still allowed to protest in the USA, but when it interferes with other people's lives, they need to remove the campers. If the campers refuse to move, they deserve more punishment and arrests. Thank god the occupiers are gone, because they were soooo annoying to watch. RT = Rarely Trusted

It certainly is a travesty that the US shoots, pepper sprays and beats its citizens, all because they are protesting, you never know, one day the US government may become civilised, but don’t hold your breath, remember they vaporised Japanese civilians in a flash for retribution!

It's very interesting situation. I'm jealous of Russia in that they have talented prime minister like Putin. He brought the country from the collapse era in soviet time but why do people don't satisfy him. In fact most of the votes will be his I suppose. Better economy and fast growth among the west.
I'd tell the situation in my country(Asia) We've had big protester like this. They changed the government. They called for UN. They asked for observers and int'l military. Finally the opposition& nbsp;won the election. But people from both side still fighting and hate each other. We never come back to peaceful time ever again. My country never be in this lowest situation. People are suffering from economy, corrup tion and dumb leader. I hope Russian would make some good choice.

LOLOL so it's a crime and it's offensive when cities like NYC, Washington, Portland, etc. say that they can't set up tents, but when cities in Russia say it, it's ok? Biggest hypocrites ever on here!! RT = Rarely Trusted
