Poor Georgia.  Home of some of the best wine in the world, great food, unlimited potential for tourism , a huge market on its doorstep. Everything to play for in fact but it has a lunatic as team captain. A deluded man who seems to think he should be strutting the world stage rather than elevating his country out of mass poverty. The only compensation I can see is that whatever pressure America might try to exert, his unbalanced behaviour will convince NATO and the EU that while he is in power, or anyone like him has a chance of coming to power , Georgia cannot be admitted . He is a tragedy for the Georgian people.

It just very sad now a these days as people being blind and fold to support the Western and behaving like a Sheep. Even though that have nothing to do policy and crime against humanity. Only have to accept, Obey or Die. Are we going to see the hope to live in the wonder world of beautiful places rather then staying in the underground after that day is finally come as the earth Scorched by WMD filled with Lies and Ignorance due to listen their puppet master to tell what to do ?

@Pete UK, couldn’t put it better than you. Yes, the fact is Georgia, and as also they tried Ukraine too, cannot be admitted in NATO and EU. Ukraine got rid of their deluded pro-western orange-revolutionaries, although theirs were not as much as deranged as this Georgian western-backed dictator. But there is good prospective Ukraine may seriously consider joining the Eurasian project.

Poor Pete, you are so much brainwashed by pro-Moscow sources, and  you know nothing about Georgian realities. I am visiting this country very often from the 60s and can assure you: Life has never been better there, one cannot even compare. Why wouldn't you go there and see for yoursefl? But it seems to me you would like Georgia NOT be protected from the Russian aggressive imperialism by European/American shield. Why? Would you like Russia to return to its former imperial borders?

I would say it's upsetting to see a country blindly follow the West, but who isn't skeptical of that? People are not sheep, even if at times they appear just as foolish. Yes, Georgia is following in suit to the greatest degree. But Stoudemire, you speak in hyperboles. The world isn't black and white, and it's definitely not so on Georgian soil. Having lived in Georgia, it's hard to blame them for their stance on Russia after so much bad water under the bridge. To say facetiously (in a Georgian way) Georgia's just looking for a new friend. Yes Saakashvili led a stupid fight to reclaim those territories, but you can also look at Georgia's situation in a different way, like a small country trying to assert its interests in the face of a large nation. But what they don't have in common with American and Russia is that they just can't get away with it. I've been to Abkhazia and it still reeks of a war zone,  like some dead thing with holiday resort plans left to cover the body.  Russia's support of South Ossetia and Abkhazia has been both hypocritical and half-hearted, especially considering Russia's southern caucasus "states", and the lack of a possibility for South Ossetia to be self-sufficient. I have a question: what's the talk in Russia for a union between North and South Ossetia into one sovereign state? Saakashvili is quite misguided, though he wouldn't have left those territories in the deplorable state they're in right now, and Georgia is looking alright, I'd say almost good, but most of all a lot better than before... However, does anyone else notice in how many ways President Misha is copying President Volodya?

Thank you Russia for LIBERATING S. Ossetia and Abkhazia from Georgian occupation.  These recent attacks by Georgia need to be nipped in the bud before they become more serious.  If the Georgians act up again Russia should set up a buffer zone between the newly liberated states from their former Georgian occuppiers.

Word on street is Russia is letting the west build up Georgia's standard of living before they take it back.  Here's my favorite 'Saakashvili-chews-over-his-next-move' vid... :)

My guess is Russia will roll over Georgia and Azerbaijian if the zionists and their illuminati collaborators attack Syria, Iran and try to Balkanize Pakistan into 'free' Balochistan.

Georgia has about as much chance of being protected as Hungary did in '56.
