I often feel confused with Gorbi. Criticising Putin does he wants to tutor him on actually envy him in case he brings better change for Russia and her people than him?

This senile old man does not seem to know the real meaning of running out of gas. He needs to be put away in to safe nursing home for the very elderly and mentally unwell category. his image is also photo touched here to make look much younger! The Neocons really want bring down Putin and they are willing to do anything to do it but they will fail.

I am not Russian and I have great respect for Gorbachev but he really needs to look at Russia during his presidency and compare it to this generation...making such statement is really detrimental to Russia a a whole. Putin is doing what he failed to do during his time as a president and that is to make strong Russia not a weak one...after all it is democracy he is entitled to his opinion.

Is Gorbachev a paid agitator of the West?

The answer will come when he proposes a mass influx of advisors from the West to help change the "Russian system".   Beware of western advisors.

Russia faces a crisis similar, in some way, to that of the Roman Empire in the 3-4th centuries AD, except the barbarians waiting to devour Russia are more patient and devious than the Goths, Vandals, and Huns were.

Pretoria: I am not Russians and I have profound dislike for this old man. He has done nothing but harmful things to Russia and to the world. I cannot see how anybody who loves Russia can admire this man. But we are all entitled to our views on any given subject or people. This old man has betrayed Russia- he needs to go away.

Gorbachev curriculum speaks by itself: Last president of URSS, uncontrolled colapse of the URSS; countless civil wars in previous republics of the URSS; Russia confronted with mass inflation, mass unployment, colapse of the social system provoked a spread of human misery, desease epidemics, drug addiction skyrocketing among youngs, oligarchs from the old system appeared as multimillionaires...etc....a Dark Hole was the result of Gorbachev politics and is this guy how now pretends to teach Putin how to run a country.....do we really need to listen him??

In any democracy it is logical that people takes the street for different reasons, but national legislation has to be respected.

This Gorbachev guy is an idiot - get his ugly face off my computer screen. He is responsible for the collapse of the former Soviet Union and along with Yeltsin, a drunken decade of misery for most Russians. How dare this guy try and dictate to a stronger and more United Russia. He is basically calling for Russia to collapse again like it did between 1989 and 1992 so all of Russia's oil and gas can be sold off to the West. The Russians wont see it, Gorbachev is a traitor. He is a failed ex president who destroyed the country for a short period. The only thing worse than a strong and United Russia is a weak and disunited Russia. Your era is over Mr Gorbachev and soon, so will be the West's.

Gorbachev nor Putin nor any other candidate for the Russian presidency are idiots.

Russia has changed a lot since Putin became president for the first time. And Russia will keep on changing. Putin knows that very well. He has given his looks on that in lots of articles.

It is fully legitimate for Gorbachev to make remarks. Those will make the Russian democray only stronger. It's the essence of democracy.

Gorbachev is clearly carrying on his great works which lead to the collapse of the Soviet Union before it was able to transform into a democratic society. Gorbachev was behind the mess which lead to Yeltsin's drunken reign which in turn lead to Russia becoming a bankrupt joke on the world stage. Russia is no longer bankrupt, or a joke, but it could easily be again if power were to fall into the wrong hands... and that is why Gorbachev is involved.

So the question is: Does Gorbachev have it in for Russia? The answer is yes. Gorbachev is and always has been a supporter of 'One World Government' According to him, the world is sick and needs to be cured, and the cure is a single government over the whole planet... but not just any old government... a Socialist one...the evidence is all over the net! Worldwide Soviet styled Union... old habits die hard! No wonder he's trying to stab Putin in the back

..exhausted is reserves of political authority...Russian system must change.. “Voters’ League”..  The retired politician Gorbachev can only produce a very general, abstract statements. Does Russia has recycling factories for rusty politicians? I strongly recommend to open daycare facilities for these old a$$es with slow developing dementia which will provide them with political games and changing their diapers

Folks, is better to observe this with cool heads: I would simply say that this public statement of his right before the elections was quite inappropriate, much the fact he is even suggesting social uprising, in parallel timing with the obvious western meddling in attempt to push Putin away from power. Surprising of course. But than again, politics is never simple, in time might appear to be good support for Putin instead. Time will tell.
