Abbas has stepped into this abyss because he has no where else to go. He has been doomed by the political topology he has himself helped to construct. In this political space President Obama has unrivaled powers. And here his support is the guarantee of a happy ending. Meanwhile in the real world Obama own ratings are at an all time low. And Republican fortunes are on the rise. After the elections in November the Democrats may have lost control of the Congress or the Senate or both. And the Republicans are staunch supporters of the Israeli West Bank appropriation strategy. And what will Obama's word be worth once it is publicly acknowledged in the USA that he's yesterdays story? All the Israeli government have to do is spin out the process till the year's end and their problems with Obama's government could well be history. This strategy of course will bring Abbas down. But none of the regions big players will mourn the loss of this bit part actor..

I don't want to break the Palestinians bubble but they should know by now Netanyahu thinks amorally. His thoughts and actions are outside the sphere of morality, God's code of conduct for action and interaction. Recently Netanyahu boasted on how he tricked the participants at the Oslo Accord. The Snake said to the mouse.. "Come, let the two of us become one". Israel is a pure socialist country. It exist on the $3,000,000,000 doled out it by the American workers every year. That's not to say there aren't good honest Israeli's but they are overshadowed by the Zionist who have as their goal the taking of Judea and Samaria, regardless of how. When the Palestinians try to deal with Netanyahu they must know he and his ilk are after the Zionist goal: Period. 25 Israeli pilots signed a statement that they would not fly over occupied land. These are the people who should given recognition in the media, not Netanyahu.

Want peace? All Palestinian political parties will have to respect Israel's right to peacefully exist, regardless of their religious philosophy and zeal!! There has to be a respect for all religions and political parties.

If President Obama does not have the courage to defend the rights of African Americans to be treated as free Africans in accordance with a United States international ruling 'U.S. v. The Libellants and Claimants of the Schooner Amistad, Her Tackle, Apparel, and Furniture, Together with Her Cargo, and the Africans Mentioned and Described in the Several Libels and Claims, 40 U.S. 518(1841)', then he will not stand up for the legal rights of Palestinians or any other members of color. The United States and western Europe have had every opportunity to rescind or challenge the ruling but instead they keep it secret and continue to use African Americans to promote their global trade control. The suppression of this ruling helped keep former President Mandela in prison for over twenty years. Those African Americans who are not afraid have pushed to leave a forensic footprint of these racist violations. A key element of the ruling involved Nigeria's right to confront Spain in a sovereignty dispute in a court of law. Why were the Palestinians denied due process in a court proceeding that England holds themselves responsible for creating.

I believe that the only solution for Israel and Palestine is to form a secular unified state for both people a greater Jewish and Palestine federation with protection for all under one government on proportional basis and enshrined under a constitution drawn up by both people. Its the only way and this must be discussed by Israelis Palestinians alone without the rest of the world being involved in any way.Why not an Israeli referendum to decide this way forward, let the common people speak, you might be surprised!come on world its simple to any reasonably thinking person!

Your article is based on GIGO syndrome: Garbage In, Garbage Out. The writer has skewed the history of the Middle East to fit his POV, hence the result. It would have constituted a definite improvement had the writer, or anybody else who intends to write an article on the conflict in Middle East, would first familiarize him/herself with the basic historical facts of the region as it pertains to Palestinians, both Arab and Jewish.
