‘Instability rooted in external support of extremism’

The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has named regions forming an “arc of instability” in the Caucasus and Middle East and, consequently, causing major concerns for the body.

The border is too long.
As a result, CSTO member states need to work together to secure their border. It makes a lot of sense due to uncertainties in the region.
There weren't 7000 civilian deaths in Afghanistan in 2010! There were around 2777 Afghan Civilians killed and of those 75 % were killed by anti-Government forces (Taliban and allies) Sources are from UNAMA.
