Dmitry Medvedev’s approval as candidate for Russia’s President caused mixed reaction in U.S. New York based expert on International relations, Veronika Krasheninnikova, shared with RT her thoughts on the occasion.
“The most comments from the U.S. side are yet to come. The criticisms will most probably cover the procedure itself – the absence of ”true“ presidential election and the fact of the new president coming as a successor to the previous. But the person of Dmitry Medvedev will probably be better received than any other, because in the U.S. view he is the most liberal representative of Russian power,” she said.
