Iran: the facts part 1. Iran is actively perusing an illegal nuclear weapons program which is in violation of international law and the nuclear NPT Treaty. Their current and past President and Muslim supreme leaders have made anti-Israeli, Jewish holocaust denial and anti-American extremist rhetoric a central part of their domestic and foreign policy; stating that “Israel should be wiped off the map” and that “the holocaust is a myth”. Iran is actively attempting to realign the geo-political balance of power within the Middle East in favour of an Iranian-led alliance/hegemony which consists of both state (Syria) and non-state Islamic militant-terrorist groups (Hezbollah and HAMAS), backed by a nuclear weapons program. Thus attempting to undermine the moderate Arab states - Saudi Arabia and Egypt - who are backed by the Western powers.

Iran: the facts part 2. The emergence of this alliance is unprecedented in the context of Islamic fundamentalism/extremist ideology; i.e, HAMAS is a radical Islamist militant-terrorist organisation which derives its Islamic religio-political ideology from an ultra-conservative and violent interpretation of Sunni Islam (Salifi Islam). However, Iran’s Islamic religio-political leadership derives from the Twelver sect of Shiite Islam and is fundamentally and historically at odds with each other. Hence, the alliance represents a tactical shift in Iranian strategic thinking, deliberately attempting to destabilise Palestinian-Israeli peace efforts and the wider Middle East by supporting HAMAS and thus attempting to undermine the Palestinian Authority while it develops a nuclear weapon. If Israel or the U.S. launches a unilateral, bilateral or multilateral supported military strike against Iranian facilities the world should not be surprised, Iran is an outlaw state which ranks alongside North Korea. The world can not afford to stand silent and inactive on this issue, the world is better off confronting Iran now, than latter down the track when its threatening the Middle East and world stability with WMD.

Calling “Israel should be wiped off the map” phraze a fact obviously shows that you are liar, and makes your comments void. Ahmadinejad never said that. False translations were made intentionally to push zionist agenda here, right translation for : "بايد از صفحه روزگار محو شود " is "Zionist regime in Israel is in dire need of replacement". I don't have time to argue with the rest of the text calling this things a facts clearly makes you either brainwashed, or zionist provocateur.

I'm rooting for Iran. The West is only interested in regime change. Regime change is more important to the West than the nuclear issue, and is behind all their efforts directed against Iran.

My opinion is no different from the rest of the world about this Iran & their political or religious leaders. I will only add the facts that their pretext of bringing the Palestinain issue on this as a matter of what Israel needs to sort out is baseless. I say to the Iranian Political & Islamist fundamentalists which Iran sponsors that they need to remove the specs in their own eyes first. Iran is an apartheid State & such an evil soceity. I will never advise even my enemies to be there the very next day. Why is the present government in Iran wanting to execute some other minority religious memebers of other faiths? Lots of killings & arrests. The present Iranian President is so full of power drunk at the moment & probably sick, but I know from History & facts of life that such anti -Christs will never triumph. Thankx.

Simon hit it right on the head. All those who dont agree you are hiding your heads in the sand. Here's a senario. OK we let Iran go ten fifteen years. We take them at their word. Then you make good on their pledges to wipe Isreal off the map and mak the west pay. Then they strike all of europe then send missles to you home state. Your dead! They win! Now stop all this winning! ?get with the program and lets give Iran what it wants... A BIG PUNCH IN THE MOUTH MILITARY STYLE!!!!

He Simon! Tell us when was the last time Iran invade a country? Also can you tell us what good is a so called Treaty today? I don't even understand the term 'NATO Allies' anymore. Do you remember who said:"Punish France, Ignore Germany and forgive to Russia." not so long ago. Even news can't be trusted. I live in Canada and I must read the news from different countries to get a sens of truth of what is going on every day. The lonely think I am sure now is that Russia is lucky to have Putin part of its elite and wish the elite here in Canada start to work as hard to protect its country and improve our life standards! Even the term 'rights' has no meaning anymore since you must be rich to protect them. Ahmadinejad this Ahmadinejad that....yes yes yes...let me tell you something my friend. Look at the map and count the number of US flags around Iran and you will start saying anything too. He is afraid that all!

reply@Meir Javedanfar, Director at the Middle East Economic and Political Analysis Quote “...I think the sanctions for them to work should not target the people of Iran. The people are not guilty…, I particularly don’t think that President Ahmadinejad cares about their suffering, from what we can see on the streets of Tehran and from the violent crackdown against Iranian demonstrators,” Mr. Javedanfar, I thought you are an economic and political analysis, do you really think that sanctions against a countries leadership will spare the people; by hurting the government, you are hurting the people and I don't think you even care about the people. Also go and ask the people yourself, see how many support the government's nuclear energy program. About the elections, fair and square, you cannot rig an election by 11 million votes. Riotes happen all over the world not just Iran and riot police are called upon to disperse the crowd. President Ahmadinejad has a large fan club in Iran, especailly with the poor, doesn't that say he cares about his people. It is people like you who want to divide Iran, reinstate the pro-western dictator shah, take the oil and gas and other resources for free etc. Iran is the second country to suffer from WMD, after Japan, and the first to suffer from chemical weapons - Therefor It is against such weapons Iran has never started a war, it is always on the defensive reply@simon You do not have a single evidance to suggest Iran is pursuing illegeal nuclear weapons, the media is a tool of propaganda that all nations use. The leaders of Iran make anti-Israeli rhetoric because it is on the Palastinian side and anti-American rhetoric because of its support of Israel. Iran has a diferent Terrorist list, USA, UK, AL-Qaida and Israel are the top terrorist groups in the world. There is a holocaust happening right now to Palastinians. Are Israel's nuclear weapons legal?

Don't think for a minute that Israel would hesitate, as for the Americans being in the middle, ha. they have no qualms shedding American blood. When was the last time Iran invaded anyone?..oh right about a 100yrs ago. Now how many sovereign states has America "liberated/pacified" in the last 100? We've all been duped, all these wars are about the globalist bankster drive for one world government. Who do you think has funded all of them. Russians hold dear your new won freedoms, be the Republic it can be, remember democracy is just tyranny of the majority.
