Israel: apartheid state or only democracy of the Middle East?

Israel’s borders are those of 1947, and because it is a bi-national state it needs the formation of a unitary state, like Belgium. This is the view of academic and human rights activist Professor Uri Davis.
I did not read for a long time story like this one! Thank you RT and special tanks to Profesor Uri Davis! He is a honest man indeed...Israeli state after all is biggest danger for Jews..They are not intrest to make a peace-Israel never been honest about that! From 1948 they got only one target-to take all Palestinian land. They are only millitary and nuclear power in M.East and with their genocide policy-threat for peace...Israel long time ago cross red line-future all out war will be wage on them as state and as nation...As a nation who met the God-and never folow his comands-must( in my opinion) in the end also face God justice rightfully...
Another world war can be prevented if only political leaders will take a look at history and have the courage not to repeat the same tragic mistakes. Short term gain is not worth risking global destruction. Little dictators come and go but the survivors [if there are any] have to put the world back together .
I believe one state solution is the right thing, Arabian Jews shoud return to their Arab countries and the same for others who came from abroad. the Jews problem is the zionist movement,if they can get red of it ,they will get along fine anywhere they live now, and the Palestenian have the right to return to their homeland.
Ibarruri Glad to see RT elucidate the truth with the characteristic honesty of the Land Of Lenin - that regarding Isreal, it is not the Jews that constitute the problem but Zionism. And since the state of Isreal is run by Zionists, the ideological bedfellows of Apartheid, Fascism and Imperialism, there can be no doubt who the enemy of both the Palestinian people in particular , and humanity in general , is. Those who direct the anger at Jews merely play into the hands of the Zionists as this provides them the leverage for posing as representing Jews and driving a wedge between the general struggle of the worlds oppressed and their Jewish brethren. The task ahead is to dislodge this Zionist State and bring them to Trial for the crimes committed so far and then of course, a proggressive Isreal , possibly socialist ,can emerge that will make a healthy Palestinian state an inevitable and just recourse.
It's appalling to see the lack of understanding of any context in both the articles in RT and then general run of comments. The throwing around of catch phrases like 'apartheid' is especially dismaying when talking about a country who took in many thousands of Ethiopians and integrated them into its society and was one of the very few countries in the world to take in and give citizenship to Vietnamese boat people. Apartheid? Walk the streets of any Israeli city and see the diversity. Compare that to any of the Arab countries that love to show their hypocricy by calling Israel names while rstricting their citizenship to a chosen one dimensional few. Israel returned Gaza to the Gazans (more than Egypt ever did) and got rocket bombardment in return. They have been attacked by forces many times their size and have had to build a strong military to survive. It's a severe strain on their citizens and their budget , but nevertheless the list of scientific, humanitarian and technological accomplishments coming from this small country is enormous and puts larger, richer countries to shame. While it is fashionable among many these days to bash Israel, not only does it do nothing to help anybody other than to prolong the bitterness, but it only shows ignorance and a lack of historical understanding. Before mouthing ignorant slogans, one should spend a few days in Israel, look around, talk to the people you meet at random and learn the truth. This applies to RT journalist as well.
Right, Louis Pinkett, we should not bash Israel, it's counter productive anyway. What needs to be done is to stop free and unconditional multi-billion US military aid to Israel. That would help a lot e.g. in slowing down "technological achievements" that are based mostly on stealing US military secrets. US doesn't really get any benefits from that "friendship". What it really gets is a headache, hatred of the world and involvement in many military adventures that could've been easily avoided if US had been more considered in choosing friends and less complacent towards the fifth column inside the US: AIPAC & Co.
1973: Egypt launches surprise counterattack to recapture Sina peninsula. Initially successful, it founders as Arab army pushes into Sinai and Israeli airpower becomes dominant. Egyptian forces routed and pushed back to Suez. AGGRESSOR - EGYPT (but with caveat that they are aiming to liberate occupied territory) 1982: Israel invades Lebanon to destroy the PLO. IDF lays seige to Beirut, and provides Phalange militia access to Palestinian refugee camps in Sabra and Shatilla to murder over 1000 civilian non-combatants. PLO agrees to withdraw to Tunisia, IDF withdraws but controls southern Lebanon via proxy using the SLA, a christian militia group. AGGRESSOR - ISRAEL (seeking unilateral military solution, disproportionate action) 2006: After fall of SLA, skirmishes break out on Lebanon-Israel border between Hezbollah and IDF (attacks are initiated by both sides). In retaliation for a successful hezbollah raid, Israel again invades Lebanon, and attacks Beirut targetting non-military targets including international airport and obliterates housing blocks in south Beirut neighbourhood considered a Hezbollah stronghold. Hezbollah resistance is unexpectedly strong, and IDF attack falters with heavy losses. IDF ceases invasion after UN intervention and deployment of peace-keepers. AGGRESSOR - ISRAEL (disproportionate action, invasion was a long planned affair, skirmish with Hezbollah just an excuse) 2008: Israel deliberately sabotages cease-fire agreement with Hamas in Gaza, and assaults the enclave, indiscriminately targetting civilians and using prohibited weaponry, killing 1400 people (mostly non-combatants) and inflicting massive infrastructure damage. After assault, Israel intensifies economic blockade to influct suffering on populace in an attempt to break Palestinian will to resist. AGGRESSOR - ISRAEL
Now, as for being "attacked by forces many times its size" this is again another blatant Zionist lie that is accepted as gospel fact, yet is debunked by much historical evidence: 1947-49: Zionist Jews carry out their long-planned pogrom against the indigenous arabs, who are unprepared and unorganised. Majority of fighting occurs in the Arab areas of the partition as Zionists carry out ethnic cleansing. Arabs are either driven out by Jewish fighters or flee in fear, and other Arab nations finally start to help but its too little, too late. Jews close the border after the fighting and refuse to allow displaced people to return to their homes and property. AGGRESSOR - ISRAEL (pre-planned ethnic cleansing) 1956: Israel attacks Egypt in a secret agreement with France and Britain. Jews are to gain territory, Brits recover Suez. The US (whose polity at this stage is not dominated by jewsish influence & money) forces Britain to back-down, and Israel grudingly withdraws. AGGRESSOR - ISRAEL (conspiracy, naked land grab) 1967: Taking adavantage of high tensons (and in spite of no Egyptian mobilisation or immediate threat) Israel launches an aerial blitzkreig against Egypt and knocks out Arab air-power, then invades Sinai penisula and occupies up to Suez. Mutual defense pact is invoked and Syria and Jordan retailate, but are defeated and both loose territory (Golan and West Bank). Israeli propaganda convinces West that they acted pre-emptively to prevent and Arab attack, but historical documents from gov archives show the Arabs had no intention of initiating war, and that Jewish leaders saw an opportunity to strike and gain territory. AGGRESSOR - ISRAEL (opportunistic attack, land grab)
Louis is just an apologist for the Zionist regime. Israeli apartheid is real, not a figment of some demented anti-semites imagination. As far as the "people of Israel", Louis is obviously talking about the Jews, as they are oblivious and uncaring of the injustices and repression committed in the Occupied Territories, and generally approve of the marginalisation and disenfranchisement of Israels arab citizens. Israel did not return Gaza - it simply abandoned its colonisation efforts. "Returning Gaza" does not mean retaining control of the enclaves borders with the outside world, denying access to its air-space, controlling its coastal waters, and prospecting/stealing its natural gas reserves. And as for rocket attacks, the Kassam home-made bottle-rockets were nothing but a sporadic occurence until the IDF started bombing Gaza in punitive raids on the slightest (usually contrived) pretense. Louis can't grasp that Kassam fire is mostly a retaliatory gesture in response to overwhelimng IDF firepower, and is just a show of defiance. If the IDF holds its fire and ceases provocation, the Kassams stop, as was clearly demonstrated in the 12-month ceasefire 2008-2009 (which Israel deliberately undermined with unprovoked attacks so as to create conditions to "justify" the long-planned Gaza assault). A side note - for all the Israeli crying about Kassams falling on Sderot, how often does Jewish media remind its readers that Sderot was built atop the bulldozed remians of Arab villages deliberately depopulated by Jewish forces in 1948? Sderot is built on stolen land, and its true owners (Arabs forced into Gaza) are actualling firing rockets on their own occupied territory. I guess the irony is too much for sensitive Jewish audiences so the truth is again supressed.
Short, sweet, to the point, FREEeacxlty as information should be!

I believe the very actions of all past and present israeli leaders and their people, will cause their demise in the near future, once Humanity gets better informed of the suffering Palestinians had endured to this day.
