Thank you Russia for help in defending Serbia, you have done way more towards defense of Serbia than Quislings in Belgrade.

By this easely forseen decision the western imposed puppet regime and it´s very own "Saakashviili" in Belgrade are trying to establish "facts on the ground", in order to convince Serbians to accept the NATO land grab as a fact and abandon their southern province. It will of course backfire and eventually lead to a free sovereign government and a Serbian military presence in Mitrovica for starters. Thank you Russia for your decisive stance and your presence in Nic....

What would you want them to do Ivan G? Russia was in the same position over Serbia and Kosovo as the US was over South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Notice the similarities in what Russia and the US could effectively do in each case? You could in fact say that the declaration of independance from Kosovo led directly to Russia opening its borders with South Ossetia and Abkhazia. With that economic link both were able to become geniunely independant instead of autonomous regions dependant on Georgia. Independance was inevidible so that is why Georgia struck because it was really their only chance to stop it. They failed and speeded up the process. Serbians now have options they can either take the line that if Albanians can't live under Serbian rule then the Serbs in Kosovo and for that matter Bosnia can't live under foreign rule either and they should start demanding their own independance too. Their right to independance is just as sound as the Albanian Kosovo citizens. Once independant they can join the Serbian republic as autonomous regions and gradually be reintegrated. Or you can simply demand that UN resolution 1244 be recognised and that this decision means nothing and continue to not accept that Kosovo is now ruled by Albanians. The sad reality is that without violence borders don't change. The western controlled media has ignored violence against Serbs up until now and any ethnic cleansing performed by Albanians has been dismissed as revenge, and as understandible reactions. This means that you will need something outrageous to make the Western media realise they backed the wrong horse in this race. It is a tough problem and I wish you the best at getting a solution that suits you.

Same old same old from Moscow. You don't recognize Kosovo but you recognize faux mirostates like Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Call me hypocritical but you (Russia) preceded me.

The situation for Russia with regard to Serbia and Kosovo was the same as the situation for the US in regard to Georgia in 2008. While the Russians sent paratroopers to Pristina the US did absolutely nothing. What would you expect Russia to do? Launch missiles at the US? Send S-300 missiles to Serbia? The simple fact is that NATO surrounds Serbia and there was little Russia could actually physically do. What it could have done is curried favour from NATO and the US by forgetting little isolated Serbia and abandoning it to its fate... like Macedonia did. It didn't do that, it continues to support Serbia and remains an ally, if you want to ignore that Ivan G then that is fine, you are entitled to your opinion. I think the majority of Serbs appreciate the support, and the knowledge they are not alone in thinking the west is a bunch of thugs who will bend and break international law for their own ends. Of course this UN court ruling opens other options... if Albanians in Kosovo cannot live under Serb rule then I guess Serbs in Kosovo have the same rights and declare their independance from Kosovo. Bosnian Serbs can do the same in Bosnia. Serbs living in other countries I guess can also do the same... any Serbs living in Albania? :)

@ Jugoslav and Srbin, we didn't do enough... 1990s were a rough time for Russia, the West took advantage of this. Still ashame such crimes dividing ethnicity of former Yugoslavia get more attention then the crime of those, from outside of former Yugoslavia, causing those conflicts. Still the same characters now continue to make Serbia suffer. Wish Russia would do more. I wouldn't expect much of anything from Medvedev as he seems content making himself an American lapdog.

Thankfully Mr. Putin came in nick of time and saved Russia. Medvedev's action make him appear as Yeltsyn II or as somebody called him Yeltsin Junior. Be well.

The worst part of all of this is Quisling governmnet in Belgrade. They are simply prostituting the whole country. U.S/U.K tandem has shown during the last 20 years, that Serbs simply don't have worst enemy in the world than in those two rougue nations. I think while then terrorize Serbs, they think of Russia and Russians.
