We now live in times that are much more dangerous than anything we experienced during the cold war. Since the end of the cold war, certain countries have felt that they are no longer threatened by 'mutually assured destruction'. As a result they now feel free to move their military into areas previously considered off limits, or even use their military to gain strategic advantage or secure resources. In recent years we have seen international law ignored and / or broken with impunity, we have seen the UN turn into a tool for war instead of peace, and we have seen whole nations / peoples crushed by the use of overwhelming military power. The lives of people from certain ethnic groups have been cheapened to the extent that large numbers can now be killed without remorse - their deaths are nothing more than 'collateral damage'. The world turns a blind eye. We see the drums of war beating as certain countries look towards Iran and try to generate popular support for yet more killing and destruction. We see Russia (and also China to a lesser extent) being slowly encircled - certain countries are not even attempting to hide the fact any more - in preparation for its eventual squeezing, weakening, and capitulation, perhaps even its destabilization prior to its dissection. After all wasn't Russia once described as being too big for just one country? In the US, the UK, and in Israel, an entire generation has been raised under the doctrine of 'might is wright'. They have been exposed to lies (often slickly and intelligently presented by masters of media such as Blair), biased news stories, and within a climate of fear from 'terrorists who live amongst them'. Once this generation come to take over the reigns of power I fear that things will get even worse. So, Mr.Lavrov, yes the new NATO strategy of using force should worry you. Just about everyone with an eye on the ball can see that Russia, once Iran has been subdued, will be next on NATOs list.

Lavrov voices a legitimate concern for the Russian Federation. Kremlin sees the slow encroachment of American power right up to the borders of the Russian Federation and they should be concerned. During the Cold War, both America and the USSR eyed each primed for war, and America dared not subvert the republics of the USSR , nor those in the Warsaw Pact. The one big war the Americans injected themselves into (Vietnam) they lost. The two super powers were basically at peace. However, at the end of the Cold War, America felt itself strong enough to reveal her true intentions towards the Russians - eventual dismemberment of the Russian Federation. The American tactics for this grand goal are quite clear: Step 1 - Subvert and gain control of nations surrounding the Russian Federation under the guise of NATO membership. Step 2 - Establish military bases (euphemistically referred to as "missiles bases") in the countries surrounding the RF. Step 3 - Gain control of RF's "soft underbelly" by attacking/occupying Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan (occupation by proxy) Step 4 - Subvert the Muslim republics in the "soft underbelly" of RF Step 5 - Subvert current Iranian government and gain control of that country - option 2: Military strike. This is why it is absolutely essential that the RF sell the weapons to Iran which she needs to defend herself against the upcoming American assault. Final Step - Start a slow, insidious, irreversible, process of decaying the RF under the banner of "bringing the Russian people a better life". Of course, the American plan to dismember the RF may not evolve the way I have described, but I believe I have correctly delineated the intention of USA to destroy the Russian Federation. Have you all noticed how often NATO and the US are repeating that they do not have any intention of attacking the RF. The only allies the Russian Federation has are her armed forces and her superb leaders and diplomats.

Let the bucket of water run out thin across the floor, for it will dry up in the heat. For angry souls that sit up close, aim our axe directly at their feet. Then when the risk to slip has gone, and we can walk and run again The angry souls, through their offence, will see they will be slain. So our axe, with handle strong, keep it sharp and clean, So everyone is in no doubt, because it can be seen. Then talk and listen, with open mind, and try to reason well, So any visitor can understand, the wisdom that we tell. But if that wisdom on deaf visitors ears does fall, Such that they try to execute the plan upon the wall, Then as they move with action to our place, Then their home will truly become without people or race. The end is joint, that is the point, So think, you are with me Understand! and we both will feel the glee.

The Anglo-sphere/Nato are already at war with Russia. They are going ahead with their plans to rule the world. There will be no meaningful reductions, there will be no pullbacks, concessions, or accommodations.

The way the West is going into extreme debt, I think they might be bankrupt before too long. Obama is a tool and a puppet of just the sorts of people who want the riches of Russia for themselves and their kin and want to divide her into "manageable parts " like they did to Yugoslavia. You know...Brzezinski, Maddie Albright, Hillary and Bill Clinton and Soros... those sorts of evil people. Most people in the USA want a peaceful world, but the government is hell bent on wars, wars and more violence inflicted on many innocent people. When I remember the NATO bombing in 1999 and MURDER of all those Serbian civilians, my blood runs cold!! I KNOW that the Americn people were sold LIES by the government and their news media allies about WHY NATO had to bomb Serbia. If you asked most Americans who and why did NATO bomb in 1999, they CANNOT tell you. I promise you, they do not remember. They cannot remember the 78 day bombing of a people. I expected the war in Afghanistan to be based on lies. IT IS. I expected the war in Iraq to be based on lies. IT WAS. It was all to get at RUSSIA. PERIOD! And so many innocent people have perished. Even today.... Please Russia for the sake of peace in this world, DO NOT HELP NATO DESTROY YOU !!

Russia should not be surprised at NATO ambitions, particularly with the US placing new bases in Bulgaria and Romania and talking of stationing missiles there. Mr Putin seems to have realized the danger, when in Vladivostok he was quoted as saying “If we don’t develop a missile defense system, a danger arises for us that with an umbrella protecting our partners from offensive weapons, they will feel completely safe, the balance will be disrupted, and then they will do whatever they want, and aggressiveness will immediately arise both in real politics and economics.” Mr Putin has also the suspicion that Washington does not recognize Russia as a great power anymore, and in Washington’s opinion that Russian interests should be limited to Russia’s borders. President Medvedev does not seem to accept either danger. He seems to be making the same mistakes as former President Gorbachev in dealing with US. 20 years ago, on Feb. 9, 1990 in St. Catherine's Hall at the Kremlin US Secretary of State James Baker 111 plainly and undisputedly stated .” There would be no extension of NATO's jurisdiction for forces of NATO one inch to the east," provided the Soviet Union agreed to the NATO membership of a unified Germany. President Medvedev should remember this and do the same as China, built up its military power, keep its agreement with other countries, such as Iran. Russia must listen to Mr Putin, and President Medvedev should ignore the siren song of NATO

Of course NATO wants to split Russia in a divide-and-rule style and eventually get control of Russian natural resouces. They do not want that Russia prosper like a normal nation, that's why US is blocking the access of Russia into the WTO and that's why NATO exists.

Drop US Bonds . no money no war! If Russia and china don’t stop finance their own destruction it might end up in WO3. Amway the whole deal looks stupid you give the Americans money and they spend it all on the defense industry and technology of crimes against humanity.

Russia should be very concerned about the systematic encircling of NATO. VERY concerned! Yes, the US is going bankrupt, yes, the West is on its last legs, but a beast can be the most dangerous when wounded. It may lash out for the last time and destroy its target even if it's the last thing it does. Russia should never agree to sanctions against Iran (although Iran is acting very annoyingly, I have to say), and should develop closer ties economically and militarily with the BRIC countries, South America, Iran, Kazakhstan, etc. US, UK, NATO and their ambassadors, like Albright (even when she wears the dove of peace jewelry like she did in Moscow, she is just a regular hawk), Netaniahu, Kissinger, Obama have two desires: subdued, tame Russia and access to Russsian resources. Don't let that happen!

Worry is a waste of energy. Worry nevers improves anything. Words are very similar to wory. Words without action is mere PUFFERY. A famous politician once said, "SPEAK SOFTLY, BUT CARRY A BIG STICK". Since those times it has changed to, "RUN YOUR MOUTH ALL THE TIME, BUT DON'T BACK IT UP". It is the political cowards who never fight or serve in the military, but talk incessantly, who cause wars. Politicians seldom serve their country, except by verbasity (word noise) and after a war starts someone else must do the heavy lifting.

Count Cash February 21, 2010, 05:31 quote

Words do not equate to worry, nor vice versa, for they are of diffent form, words can express worry, but not worry words. The application to a case, does not prove universality, the confusion of this leads to false deductions. Words can be clear, can be confidently delivered, they convey meaning and aid in understanding. Lack of communication, leads to a disconnect, a disconnect can lead to misunderstanding. For without words, you have the greatest noise of all, the background.

It is surprising to see, on that topic, like in so many others, the quantity of negative comments toward Imperialist America and her cronies from NATO. Nevertheless, Russian leaders practice the wishful-thinking and seem very naive. Why can they, simply stick to the facts and explain to the 95% of humans, being not US citizen, in what shape is mankind, actually. A different governance is possible without using any aggressiveness ! Just tell the truth... Sorry Future Generations ! Your friend: Jean-Claude Meslin
