It’s been seven months since the war in South Ossetia ended but humanitarian aid is still being distributed among Ossetians, as many lost almost everything they possessed.

As the reconstruction of South Ossetia accelerates, its financing is becoming all-important. Meanwhile, with most of the region still in ruins, Georgia is attempting to buy off Tskhinval by offering more money.
Moscow has criticized the international observers monitoring the ceasefire lines in Abkhazia and South Ossetia. The Foreign Ministry says the observers’ work is not effective enough.
It’s almost six months since a devastating war shattered South Ossetia. But the new republic is bouncing back, restoring its shelled housing and healing its psychological wounds.
