Count CashThe costs are too high and out weigh the benefits. What is the balance their? There are other fun things to do that are not threats to national security like theme parks.

Roger Coze, in every human endeavor, there is an upside and a downside somewhere. If you but see all the downsides and cannot strike the balance, then you are already dead to life!

Count CashIs travel really good? It opens many doors for terrorists and assassins. It causes unemployment and makes it easier for foriegn countries to interfere in your nation. I thought your where talking about isolationism earlier in your last comment and a closed border could help with that policy.

Roger Coze, this is better! There is absolutely nothing wrong with cream floating to the top, but that has to be a natural race independent merit based process, there should also be absolutely no compulsion to pay for others mistakes, because that allows shirking of responsibility and removes a positive driving force for people to work hard and take their life in their own hands. But on top of this you have to superimpose the accepted structures of a civilized world (states) and the concept of inherited legacy. The structure of states means that you should have a principle you are in, or you are out. Meaning every one who is part of your country is a citizen of that country and gets treated equally, not better not worse, not special arrangements for them…… Also you must have respect for other countries, not try to change them…..Just take them as they are, unless they really affect your safety, then only act proportionately to restore that safety. There is a difference between national interests and national legitimate interests. Then unfortunately there is legacy, you have to live with what you have and others have done before you to make the state as it is. You cannot just try to back track and change the rules, because remember the people are IN. So we have a concept of ourselves, our nation, our people, and we have a concept of other nations, other people, who should be left alone as much as possible. We also have a principle that the clock doesn’t and can’t go backwards, no matter what nationalist nutter appears, with what final solution, warped history book in hand. You may find the answer to a problem, is not removing or destroying a ‘foreign’ object, but is found in making the environment only receptive to objects of merit in a fair way across the board. Don’t look for homogeneous solutions; the diversity with common purpose will give you better ones. Gravity will always be there, long after the rocket engine stops firing, travel is good!

Between you and me I think we could use some more "tribal urges" maybe Europe would not have a aging population and evil deeds are so much fun (I am joking of course). I do not have a desire to bring others harm, but I also have no obligation to pay for other peoples' mistakes. I personally do not support a master race/people, if others do then they can ,but I do not. I was talking about the strong succedeing if a certain race or people succede more than another then what are we supposed to do? limit the successful? I do not think that will happen though unless certain characteristic lead to successful people. If there are such characteristics I do not know about them. Do you? Plus you can be civilized and have jungle urges, look at Brazil party capital of the world (another joke)One idea I love and will always support no matter what is that students should be able to get their eductation anywhere. Even if borders are closed I do believe students should still be able to go into those countries for education. Let them benefit from our progress and then go back and better their nation. Doesn't that sound like a reasonable compromise?

Roger Coze, of course it will sound like socialism, if socialism is a convenient label you apply to anything you don’t like. Regardless of whether you understand what socialism is, or whether it is indeed socialism represented, just so you may use it as a rally cry for your tribe to attack. You question why we should be civilised when others are tribes, and then you talk of peaceful nationalism. But all this shows is that you are in attack mode and that actually peaceful nationalism is fine words. You are coming with fine words to mask your intended evil deeds, which you are not careful enough to cover. I suggest your real endgame is to pacify the ‘natives’ to civilise them or remove them because they are weaker than you, and you are the master race/people, so you should prevail. I suggest this is the roots of the nationalism that burns inside you. You try to use the standard, only the strong should survive natural law construct, to try to justify your views, and this has been used time and time again as a rallying cry. What is always interesting is the inherent contradiction in it, you claim to be civilised and not in the jungle, but then cross to the ethics and rules of the jungle to drive the debate. You try to live in two worlds, the civilised one with fine words, and the jungle with ‘evil’ deeds (evil because they are incompatible with civilisation) and that is the whole point, we MUST be as civilised as we can to face down tribal urges, if indeed they exist in the adversary, and are not part of some PR game to discredit the adversary. That is the whole concept of proportionality in a civilised world, and we must be civilised, because we choose to be civilised! Of course that does not preclude you getting down into the very depths of depravity to resist an even greater evil. However, it does prevent you doing that as a very first step or real ambition. You need to stop the fraud you are perpetuating with regard to nationalism, if you want a healthy society.

@ Count Cash sounds more like socialism. Why are we expected to act civilized when others are tribal and act on jungle instinct. What makes us so special to deal with these people who to lazy to improve their own countries and just move to better countries instead? That is why weak people are every where because being weak is acceptable and even encouraged. Peaceful real nationalism is the answer and hopefully that is what will come out of this economic crisis. If were are weak how can we expect to progress as the human race?

Roger Coze, he wasn’t talking about the capabilities of the individuals, like balancing a scale, the context was that people are treated equally, call it equality before the law, or as expressed here, that no one gets privileges above another – get it now? Indeed in society you may actually try to balance the capabilities to make them equal in society, for instance like providing them with a lawyer, the weak one can have lawyer, the strong one also – for two unequal people, we have created equality in the way they can argue, regardless of each ones capabilities. You go on the incorrect nationalist rant of strong people - now where have I heard that sort of thing before? But don’t worry; you for me exhibit all the traits of incorrect, negative, destructive nationalism – you see one ethnicity/race stronger than another, you ignore cultural and historical linkage, and instead get the callipers out to measure the skull facets. This is the sort of nationalism we don’t need in Russia, or I would suggest anywhere else on this planet earth. Nationalism instead should flow from the country, form its culture, from its history, its roots and should actually respect other people’s cultures from around the world, and shouldn’t see one as weak, another strong…. Yes there are the tribal urges, to climb to the top of the hill, but if we are to claim to be civilised, we need get around this jungle instinct. Then internally, we have to realise that the land of Russia is the national space, and that everyone on it is equal (meaning equal before the law) and entitled to follow Russian laws, customs, traditions, practices as a right, and that the state will enforce this for you. This means nationalism should be about the national space, and about a Russian way of life. Of course if you wish, you are free to do what you want there, or even leave there, as long as any other person is free to exert their Russian rights without your interference there.

play the nationalist card ,but say all people are equal? how does that make sense all people are not equal. That is what ethnicity is all about a strong country needs strong people and a weak country is weak because of weak people. so no I do not believe all people are equal. If they were wouldn't we have united under one ideology and country. why would we divide ourselves into diffrent ethnicities unless some people are weaker, superior, or just plain diffrent.
