Building a new capital from scratch is too much expensive for these time. It would be better establishing the capital in a city that already exists like Yekaterinburg. A new capital should take into account both Russia´s geography and Russia´s population. The geographical center of Russia is between Krasnoyarsk and Novosibirsk, but the Population center is between Moscow and Kazan...Mixing both, Geography and Population, the result is Yekaterinburg. It is at the same distance from Moscow as from Krasnoyarsk. It is at the same time in Siberia and next to Europe. It is at the same distance from the European Union (Finland) as from China (Xinjiang) So politicians will feel closer to the Asian markets without losing contact to Europe. No need to create an expensive capital from scratch when there is already an important Russian city with an Oblast (Sverdlovsk) populated already by almost 5 million people, and which would attrackt another 1 million people after the capital is established.
