“Low turnout let extremists enter European Parliament”

The inability to fulfill electorate’s expectations by traditional political forces in Europe led to a low turnout and protest votes at the EU Parliamentary election, says Jean-Louis Laurens from the Council of Europe.
The director general for the council of Europe's democracy and political affairs was in the studio together with RT’s political commentator Peter Lavelle.

In my country extremists are gaining more and more popularity. I cannot belive it but it is true.
The election represent the failure of democracy. Democracy has failed the people in the United States and Europe by designing a free trade system that exported technology and the middle class jobs that went with this export of industry. The United States is moving toward a socialist solution thanks to President Barack Obama's meeting with President Hugo Chavez then proceeding to nationalize more banks and General Motors automobile manufacturer. Obviously GM the shining star of capitalist giant America reflects the poor economic policy that Bush and Cheney developed for their oil wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Russia, China, Japan, India, Brazil do not choose to follow the Pied Piper "Bush & Cheney" off the economic cliff to disaster thus the United States will find economic isolation a fitting end to oil wars.
I fully praise these new upsurge of extremist parties coming in because its about time we all heard different policies from different people as we all know the European election turnout was at its lowest ever in history but that is because we all have had enough of the same policies and the same problems and keep going around in same circles so maybe these parties can make those circles a straight line. Such parties as the Pirate Party get my full Support due to that fact they speak out for the people that the whole corporate world has denied us for so long and also British British National Party gaining its first ever seats in a European Parliament in history which wishes to bring back traditional British values and Intensified or closing of all borders to eradicate all Illegal asylum seekers and also trying to try to convict all of the main stream 3-way parties and their political party members system that steals all public money for the sake of funding NATO-EU alliance further which Britain can no longer afford to do because it takes 40,000,000 U.K. pounds each day to keep in the European Union. Also a slight increase of Communist seats comes to the European Parliament too. Finally also the United kingdom Independence Party gains significant support because that party does wish to secede and break away from the European Union all together and this is what Britain truly wants to do, so Brussels do not think that this country is a safe haven for your Puppet child the (European Union).
