It is more important for Russia to have good relations with NATO’s most powerful member states than with the alliance itself, as it may soon stop existing, political science professor Gerhard Mangott told RT.

“In the West there is a very long and very serious debate about if there’s any future for NATO because there’s no real threat to NATO, there is no real enemy. So maybe in 10 to 15 years from now there will be no alliance. So I don’t think it’s too important for Russia to think how the relations with NATO will develop – it’s more important how the relations with the most prominent members of NATO will develop,” Mangott said.

NATO in some form or other will always be with us. It may not be called NATO but it will be there. Russia should remember the past in otder to have a safe future. Talk softly and carry a big stick.

NATO was formed to counter the Warsaw Pact which has long since been gone. Unless their charter has changed what is the true purpose of NATO and why are NATO troops in Afghanistan? The World's political thinking upside down. The Soviet Union has disbanded so Iran and the terrorist are the new enemies of the world which is so wrong. Iran is a threat to no one and terrorist are only a threat to the countries they're located in.

Americans must understand the cold war is over and disband NATO otherwise we will be consumed by NATO's corruption just as Germany was consumed by the Nazis. Remember that the Nazis revived the German economy by creating a military/industrial complex that could only stay in business if the war machine was kept running. Today the biggest employer and educator of American youth is the US military. Most healthy US corporations are connected to the military as well. Most of the rest of us not connected to the US government or corporations are under paid and under employed. Patriotic Americans should ask themselves, "Who won the World Wars?" NATO is the new AXIS. Europe is a 'union' dominated by Germany's economic power. Hitler's agenda of destroying the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia has been accomplished. The rest of Eastern Europe is occupied or controlled by NATO and economically exploited for cheap labor & resources. The governments of these NATO countries resemble Latin America. They are corrupt, ineffectual and submissive colonies of large corporations.A special minority of pro-Western classes of the super-rich dominate large numbers of poverty-stricken ordinary citizens. Meanwhile also thanks to NATO, the Ottoman Empire has been revived with all the old ear-marks of the Turks. Gangsterism, human slavery, drug-dealing have all been revived to profit Islamic expansionism.
