Medvedev proposes changes to defense laws

Changes to Russia's defense laws are on the cards, a year after the country sent in the army to defend South Ossetia when it was attacked.
The proposed changes are good! I hope it will be in force soon.Russia can not anymore afford to wait, for war to come on theirs borders(as all the time in history-with a high price to pay) -they have to act in advance and also protect states-partners.This is verry important-not only protect Russia, but also peaceful and partner states!! That means multipolar world as only option for a peace on planet . Well done!
As a UK citizen & someone who served many years in the British Royal Navy you may be surprised to hear that I actually admire this change, it's good to see a country that is prepared to protect it's citizens & stand up to terorists, pirates & the like. Unlike the UK who seem to just want to be nice to everyone, hoping that in turn they will be left alone....wrong.

Where there is smoke there is fire. Where there is a military presence there is a preparedness for the obvious - military intervention. What other agenda can a dying beast have than to devour whatever moves to ease the suffering of an insanity incapable of life.
