Parties protesting against the results of regional elections held on October 11 have achieved nothing but the president’s attention, the Russian media say.

Absolutely correct, we are tired of the whinging and moaning, don't give us problems, give us solutions. Easy to moan, quite a bit harder to suggest practical workable alternatives. The time is right, there is no doubt that United Russia is supported by the overwhelming number of people, you could put it at 65%, maybe 60% or maybe 70%...., but without doubt the guys in power are supported by the vast majority of our public, unlike in the west where is usually a sham at about 30%. So the challenge is how to we build a wider funnel for ideas and views, while not descending into sham western hypocracies where a few lobyists bribe about 30% of the population and the majority have to be controlled by the mnority. So opposition, go away and give me a system that achieves this! We don't want 30% rule, we want majority rule, so get the thinking caps on! And you will need to think, because the western trash 'democracies' can't be used as a model.
